🎧 about you . the 1975

the fire sizzling from the bonfire was the only sound breaking the silence in the house along with some cracks in the floor. diego, vanya, klaus, and allison are seated around a table as luther enters and moves to the head of the table to sit down as the silence still keeps going.

y/n was the last one to arrive, as her thirteen years old with a bag of marshmallows in her hands, munching. "is it just me or—"

"you're not high, klaus. i just feel bored and this shit brings memory why not have fun while we're at a funeral?" y/n replied seating down and smiling, she shapeshifted into her 13-year-old self and wore her old uniform as she ate a marshmallow.

luther sighed as he just shook his head and let her be, y/n then greeted both klaus and luther nicely and of course, with the hug that she did with others. "oh, well...so?"

luther stood up as he spoke, like announcing something to get their attention, "i guess we should get this started. so, i figured we could have a sort of memorial service in the courtyard at sundown."

"say a few words, just at dad's favorite spot." he added, while klaus was busy in the back filling up a glass with who knows what. "dad had a favorite spot?" allison asked.

"you know, under the oak tree. we used to sit out there all the time. none of you ever did that?" luther asked followed by klaus asking, "will there be refreshments? tea? scones?

"cucumber sandwiches are always a winner." he added swaying his lightened cigarette. "what? no. and put that out. you know dad didn't allow smoking in here." luther answered while scolding him afterwards.

"the old man isn't here anymore, let the guy be." y/n replied leaning her back on the sofa while eating the marshmallow before luther could reply, allison asked pointing at klaus at the discovery, "is that my skirt?" this made y/n look at klaus as he answered, "what? oh, yeah, this. i found it in your room."

"it's a little dated, i know, but it's very breathy on the bits." this made luther sigh, "listen up. we still have some important things that we need to discuss, all right?

"like what?" diego asked, "like the way he died." luther answered, looking at him while diego looked away, "and here we go."

"i don't understand. i thought they said it was a heart attack." vanya commented as klaus sat next to y/n. luther then replied, "yeah, according to the coroner."

"well, wouldn't they know?"

"theoretically."

"theoretically?"
