The rest of the day went normally for Suzy. After Jin left the locker area, he didn't return, so she assumed he had gone home.
Which he did. Mr. Kim had called him for some reason, and later Jin went to his company for work.
He returned home at 10 PM and wasn't surprised to see the elder makanes (Yoongs, Hobi, and Namjoon) sitting in the dining room, waiting for him.
He made his way toward them. "Hey, you guys didn't sleep?" he asked, even though he knew their answer.
And they knew he knew, so none of them bothered to respond. Instead, Namjoon asked, "Hyungie, if I ask something, will you tell us honestly?"
Jin nodded, setting his glass aside and focusing on Namjoon.
"Why were you blushing during recess today? I know it's not just because you met a girl who was kind... there is something else," Namjoon said. Jin wasn't surprised that his younger brother pointed it out.
Namjoon was known to be more perceptive and intelligent than Hoseok and Yoongi, so it was no surprise he asked this question.
Jin sighed, knowing he couldn't hide the truth from them. "I... I don't know how to explain it," he started, choosing his words carefully. "There's this girl, Suzy. She's new, and I helped her out today. I can't stop thinking about her. It's strange, and I don't even understand it myself."
Yoongi and Hoseok exchanged glances, then looked back at Jin. "So, it's more than just a casual interest?" Yoongi asked.
Jin nodded slowly. "I think so. But it's confusing. I don't want to rush into anything or make assumptions about my feelings. I met her today only, so there is no chance I like her."
Hoseok leaned forward. "Hyung, there can be a chance that you like her. Many people fall for each other at first sight."
Namjoon nodded in agreement. "Yeah, leave it. Tell us how she looks and if you talked to her after that encounter."
Jin smiled. "You guys are too curious for your age, aren't you?"
Yoongi chuckled. "We're just looking out for you, hyung. So, spill the details."
Jin sighed but couldn't help smiling. "Well, she's really beautiful. Long hair, bright eyes, natural blush on her cheeks and a smile that... I don't know, it just makes you feel warm inside. And yeah, we talked a bit after that. She seems really nice."
Hoseok grinned. "Sounds like you've got it bad, Hyungie."
Jin rolled his eyes playfully. "Maybe I do. But like I said, I don't want to rush into anything. I barely know her."
Namjoon nodded, "Take your time. If it's meant to be, it'll happen naturally."
Jin nodded, feeling a bit more at ease. "Thanks, guys. I hate to admit but I appreciate the advice from my youngers"
"Anytime, hyung," Yoongi said with a smirk. "Now, can we eat? I am sooo hungry."
Jin chuckled and nodded his head. He uncovered the dishes and served them, first to the younger ones, then himself.
"The Makanes?" he asked while eating.
Yoongi looked up and answered, "They slept already. They wanted to wait, but Jungkookie started to doze off at 9, and soon Tae and Jiminie followed."
Jin smiled. "I'm not surprised. They are still kids."
Hoseok nodded. "Yeah, and they were pretty tired after playing. But they were excited to hear about your day, hyung. You should tell them tomorrow."
Jin sighed, but a fond smile played on his lips. "I will. Also, I have to tell you all something, so I'll do that as well."
The other three were confused but knew better than to ask. If Jin said he would tell them tomorrow, they would wait for tomorrow.
After dinner, the brothers went to their respective rooms to sleep. Jin went to check on the makanes before heading to his own room.
He laid on the bed and closed his eyes, starting to think of his day. But unlike every other day, today he could only see one person.
Suzy.
No matter how hard he tried, Suzy wouldn't leave his mind. He tried, tried, and tried before finally sitting up in bed with a sigh.
>>> What are you doing to me, Suzy? Why am I only seeing you? he thought to himself.
Removing the blankets, he went to his balcony and sat on the small couch there, looking up at the night sky. The cool breeze brushed against his skin, but it did little to calm the turmoil inside him.
He gazed at the stars, searching for answers in the vast expanse above. "Why do I feel like this?" he murmured softly. "Why can't I stop thinking about you, Suzy?"
He knew that there was something special about her, something that drew him in, but he also knew that he needed to take things slow. Specially when he know nothing about her.
Jin stayed out there for a while, lost in his thoughts, before finally heading back inside and trying once more to get some sleep.
If Jin was restless, then Suzy was not in a good state either. She was lying on her bed, staring up at the ceiling, lost in her thoughts, which were occupied with a certain someone named Kim Seokjin.
>>> Seokjin... Why am I still thinking about you? Why are you not leaving my mind? Have I really developed a crush on that handsome-faced boy whom I met not even 24 hours ago?
Suzy sighed, turning on her side and hugging her pillow. The day had been overwhelming, and meeting Jin had added a layer of confusion to her already chaotic emotions.
She closed her eyes, trying to push away the thoughts of him, but his face kept appearing in her mind.
"Maybe it's just a phase," she thought. "Maybe once I get to know more people, this feeling will go away."
But deep down, she wasn't so sure. What if the feeling never go away? What if she really have a crush on him? What if she starts to fall for him?
All this things started to appear in her mind, making her more restless. She sighed, "I'll get dark circles because of Seokjin!!"
