After Gon and Killua part ways following the events where Alluka (or Nanika) heals Gon, they each go on different paths. Gon returns to his aunt Mito, as losing his Nen prevents him from embarking on further dangerous adventures. Despite this, his f...
The morning after the electricity incident, Killua found the atmosphere surprisingly calm, but only just enough for him to feel comfortable. Alluka was supposed to start school that day, having been accepted into a new one. Killua gazed out the window, feeling a bit bored, when he received a call from an unknown number. With nothing better to do, he answered.
K: "Hello? Who's this?"
???: "This is a Hunter from the Hunter Association. We wanted to inform you about an upcoming meeting. Since you didn't participate in the election for the next chairman, we wanted to make sure you were aware of it."
Killua considered this for a moment. He wasn't particularly interested, but it was just a meeting, so why not, he thought.
K: "I'll come. When and what time?"
???: "Tomorrow at 10 AM, so Monday at 10."
K: "Got it. What's the meeting about?"
???: "You'll find out when you get there."
Killua felt a bit annoyed by the vague response.
K: "Okay, thanks."
He hung up the phone. A meeting, huh? Killua thought. Probably all the Hunters would be there, including Gon. Killua really wasn't in the mood to see Gon or his face. Every time he thought of Gon, the image of Gon screaming at him flashed in his mind.

The image of Gon's furious face never left Killua's mind. The anger, the harsh words—Killua would have never imagined that Gon could say something so hurtful. The phrase "it doesn't concern you" echoed in his head, making him feel excluded and insignificant. It wasn't just about Kite and Gon, but what was that supposed to mean? The more he thought about it, the angrier he got. He couldn't think straight or stay calm.
"regards"—that word stung Killua deeply. It wasn't about him? He thought they were in everything together. In a fit of rage, he punched the wall, careful not to hit it too hard to avoid causing any damage. The entire "it doesn't concern you" nonsense left him with a weird feeling, a mix of hurt and fury. He began squeezing the phone in his hand so tightly that the glass cracked and popped out.
"GON, YOU...!!!" Killua began to shout but held back his words, frustrated. He stepped away from the wall, breathing heavily.
Later, Canarya and Ray returned from the store with Alluka's new school supplies. Alluka was overjoyed with what she received, and Killua was happy for her. But he couldn't shake the growing panic about what he would do without her around. The thought of not being there to protect Alluka filled him with more anxiety than usual. He started scratching his knees until they bled, his mind overwhelmed with worry. What if something went wrong? What if Illumi found her? What if Alluka died?
Killua felt his chest tighten as he whispered to himself, "I don't... I don't want to be alone."
The fear of losing Alluka and the lingering hurt from Gon's words created a storm of emotions within him, leaving him feeling more vulnerable and lost than ever before.
