I would just like to say, I wrote this when I was 13 and I haven't had time to properly edit and fix it. I know at times it is rushed but I plan on fixing it.
Thank you, please enjoy!I open the door and step out of my stepmothers black 2014 Honda Civic I lower my blue aviator shades over my eyes and go to the back and my stepmom to open the trunk. I pull out my titans duffel bag and put it on my shoulder.
"I will be back to pick you up in two months time. Please don't get kicked out of this one."
And with that she was gone. I start walking over to the registration cabin to get my cabin number. I put my shades on my head because oddly its dark in the cabin.
"Well hai there!" a short curly haired women steps through the door way. She seems friendly but I can tell it is faked. And poorly.
"Are you a camper here?"
" I'm here to sign in. I just got here."
" Your name sweetie?"
" Ella"
" Ah here you are. Ella Stevens. Well Ella my name is Sheryl. You are in cabin 13. Now please go settle in because I have lots of paperwork."
With that she practically shoves me out the old screen door.
I put my shades over my eyes again because the blinding sun is shocking from the dark in the cabin. I start walking to why I think is the cabins when I see a bunch of kids sitting on the grass. All the guys are wearing blue, green, yellow, and purple wife beaters. They also wear board shorts that match their shirts. The girls on the other hand are all wearing matching shirts and jean skirts. They all wear a dark blue spaghetti strap and blue jean cutoff short skirts. I see only two people who I guess are a couple they aren't wearing the same thing as the others. He is topless and I can't help but see his perfectly sculpted abs. His girlfriend sees me and shoots a glare that could melt iron. I can't help but not notice her flawless face she is stunningly beautiful. I keep walking and end up at the blue gem of a lake.
I take my time sitting at the lake. I let my feet dangle in the water while I look out across the glittering water. The coolness of the water is refreshing considering the extreme heat. I decide to go and find my cabin. It doesn't take long because as it turns out the cabin has a lake side view.
The nice breeze rattles the door after I close it behind me. The cabin is perfect, but the people inside aren't. Along with her followers, is the girl from the grass. I can tell something is about to go down. The only bunk that is left is the one by the window in the far corner. I walk over and put my bag down. When I turn around the girl is right in my face.
Her followers are blocking the door so I can't leave. She starts to give me the once over. Her eyes start at my perfectly done toe nails, then my tanned feet in my lime green gladiator sandals. They continue to travel up my tanned legs, and study my Gucci hot pink short shorts. They glance at my skittle nail polish, but stare openly at my ring. My mother- my real mother not my step mother- gave it to me on her death bed. It has been handed down generation after generation. It originally dates back to the Italian Renaissance. Her eyes continue upward to my John shirt and stops, yet again at my jewelry. This time she sees my fathers necklace. My dad gave it to be at birth. It dates back to the medieval times. Her eyes continue up my slender neck and look at my face. It's as if she is studying my every feature. Her eyes go over my lips, my noes, my every freckle till they stop for the last time at my eyes. Everyone says I have my mothers eyes. Her eyes look at my shades on my head.
" I bet those are knockoffs"
"Actually, they are one of a kind. They only made on in the world. Just for me." I spit back in an evenly sassy tone. Her followers are whispering an pointing but with one glance behind her, of pure acid, they are hushed.
"Anyways... I saw you checking out my boyfriend Nate earlier." Her gaze could melt steel and the poison in her voice could put the poison apple to shame.
"I was looking at everyone." I try to make a break for the door but she grabs my arm in an iron grip.
"Listen. I will say this once and once only. This is my camp. If you steal my spotlight or try to outshine me I will make your life a living hell."
" Don't worry it's your camp."
" Don't forget it."
" Wait. What's your name"? I ask
" Tally" she replies with something in her voice.
" Well Tally. Calm down." I look her right in her eyes then lower my shades once again into my eyes and walk out the old screen door.
