Y/N'S POV

I'm currently sitting in Ran's car, clueless about our destination. I kept pestering him to spill the beans, but he remained tight-lipped.

"Look, when I told you not to move or speak, I didn't mean it literally."

I stayed still and silent, precisely following his orders. I hated how compliant I was becoming.

"Well, you told me not to move," I muttered, secretly rolling my eyes.

"You're really obedient, aren't you? I like that," he said in his deep voice, glancing at me briefly before focusing back on the road.

I clenched my fists. Why am I feeling this way? It's like his smallest praise affects me deeply. I came here to despise him, yet I crave his attention and approval. This is all wrong.

"You told me to obey you, and that's exactly what I'm doing... yet you're still complaining?" I shook my head, resting it against the backseat.

"I'm not complaining, slut. I'm just surprised you decided to come with me, considering I'm still a stranger," he laughed.

There he went again with his slut-shaming.

"Can you please stop calling me that? It's really offensive-."

"Slut."

I sighed sharply. I hate men.

"Very funny," I rolled my eyes, staring out the window.

"Why don't we get to know each other? After all, you wanted to create a mother-son bond, right?"

I sighed, "Sure."

"You don't seem interested. Fine, fine... I'll stop calling you that. I was just joking, you know."

Is he serious? That's his humor? How do women fall for this?

"Anyway, where's your brother?"

"Somewhere," he shrugged, clearly not wanting to reveal Rindou's whereabouts.

"You two left the house together. So, you're not with him all this time?" I needed to calm down. I didn't want to appear suspicious.

I could justify my curiosity by claiming I wanted to bond with Rindou too. It might sound ridiculous, but it could work.

"He left by himself. I don't know where he went. I was in my car when you decided to take a picture of it," he smirked teasingly.

"Like I said, I thought it was my friend's car... wait, what were you doing in there for hours?"

Now I was curious. I had finished unpacking, explored the house, and made my way to the garage, so what kept him in there for so long?

"Stop being so nosy, mommy," he shut me up with that.

I stayed quiet for a few minutes, lost in my thoughts until I noticed him parking the car. Looking around, I realized-don't tell me he brought me to a fight?!

People in gang uniforms were everywhere. Two teams on either side, it was obvious.

I got out of the car when I saw Ran getting off too. A man with a scarred face approached him.

"Where's Rindou?" the man asked.

"He won't be watching today," Ran answered, hands in his pockets, scanning the area.
