Y/N'S POV

I stayed silent throughout the entire ride. Before I could even think about escaping, two large men blocked the door and made me sit next to him as the plane prepared for takeoff.

I was disappointed for several reasons: first, because Kaku tricked me; second, because Rindou tricked me too; and third, because now I'm stuck with Ran Haitani.

"Come on, smile. Isn't this great? We're finally running away from my dad."

"You mean flying?" I raised my eyebrows at him. "Ran, you need to take me back. I don't want to be with you."

"Oh, so you're willing to run off with Kaku, but when it's me, you want to go home?" He said sarcastically. "Favoritism hurts, you know."

"Where are we even going?"

"To an island. We'll spend Christmas there together." He smiled as he said this.

"You're insane."

"Only for you."

I knew it was too good to be true. Rindou wouldn't have shown up early just to give me a ride to the airport unless his brother had asked him to.

I was stupid to trust the Haitanis, and now I'm stuck with Mr. "I love you, so please don't marry my father." This is ridiculous.

And don't get me started on that scarred-faced man! I can't believe him!

"Did you plan this with Kaku?"

"I paid him."

I hate men now.

My mood was gloomy until we arrived at the island he mentioned. We weren't alone; there were people on the beach, including girls in bikinis.

"Don't worry, I'm not looking at them," he said, wrapping his arm around my waist as we were surrounded by his men.

"I wouldn't care even if you hooked up with all of them," I retorted, rolling my eyes as he laughed and shook his head.

He must be thrilled to have me now. I don't even care if he's planning to take me back or not; I don't want to be disappointed.

"Ah, yes, here we are." We stopped in front of a two-story house. It looked expensive, probably rented.

"Put those inside; we'll go for a quick walk," he ordered his men, who quickly obeyed.

"We're not even dressed for the beach," I said, looking around at the people in appropriate beach attire.

I was wearing a leather dress and heels, while Ran was in a suit with styled hair and sunglasses, attracting attention from some girls.

"Do we even need to?" he asked. "Let's get changed."

I thought we were heading inside the house to change, but he led me to a store instead, which frustrated me even more.

"You know, we could just change without buying anything," I complained, but he seemed to enjoy it, smiling.

"Just admit your fashion sense is bad. Don't worry; I'll pick the perfect outfit for you." He tilted his sunglasses and winked at me.

I rolled my eyes and went into the shop with him. To make it short, he ended up buying me a white off-shoulder dress and sandals. He picked out a floral shirt, shorts, and flip-flops for himself. He looked good, I had to admit.

"Welcome to the island," a lady and a man greeted us, holding flower necklaces.

Ran adjusted himself so the lady could put the necklace on him as she stood on tiptoes. I smiled at the man, but before he could put the necklace over my head, Ran grabbed his wrist, stopping him.
