Chan POV
I stretched, my arms out to either side, rolling my neck to loosen my back muscles. I was sore from sitting at my computer all day, picking apart a song Bin had given me to look at. I was trying to find fault in it, and honestly, I couldn't find much. And Jisung's new song...correction songs... were simply masterful.
I checked the large digital clock on the desk next to me a gift from Jeongin, noting that it was quarter past six. Jeongin had reminded me before work that our dinner reservation was at seven. Changbin had long since left to have dinner with Hyunjin, always placing date nights above anything else. I used to tease him about it. What an idiot I had been. Jisung had been gone about twenty minutes, bowing out when Seungmin had knocked abruptly on the door, giddily exclaiming that Jackson was facetiming Minho and wanted to say hi.
I didn't understand their situation, nor did I need to- they were all happier than I'd seen then in years. All I needed was Jeongin, and he'd be ready to leave soon. I saved my work, clicking the windows closed. I stood, stretching further, enjoying the way my back stung from the movement. I left all my equipment- intending not to touch it until the next morning.
I had promised regular, scheduled date nights and I was working hard to keep my relationship time sacred. Jeongin deserved no less. I checked my phone as I left the studio, flicking the light off. I had two texts from Jeongin, only a few minutes before.
Text from Kit
Kit: Just a reminder about date night. 😊
Kit: Not trying to be a nag...
I smirked, putting my phone in my pocket, heading upstairs to change. He was about the farthest from a nag that any human could be. Besides, he had legitimate reasons for needing to remind me. I had a tendency to get lost, and we were trying subtle things to keep me on task, and off task too.
"Baby!" I called out as I jogged up the stairs, a smile spreading across my lips. I pushed the bedroom door open, finding Jeongin in the middle of the room, an explosion of clothes spread across the bed, the scene proving he was having a hard time choosing an outfit. My eyes raked over him, in his greyish wash jeans, undone at the waist, barely clinging to his hips- showing a glimpse of his blue plaid boxers. I pressed my lips together, swallowing. His abs were extra defined- rivaling even my own lately. I silently praised Changbin for getting my boyfriend interested in the gym. "No, not my boyfriend..." I thought wryly. "My fiancé."
"Channie." He greeted with a smile. He looked at his watch as he spoke. "You're... early." His tone was surprised but pleased.
"The guys were all gone already and when I checked the time, I thought I would get your help on my outfit, but it looks like you're lost enough in your own wardrobe..." I made a grimace smile and retreated toward the walk-in closet to slyly switch out of my 'studio black' outfit for a 'date night' black outfit.
"Oh no you don't, Christopher." Jeongin scolded. "I already have outfits planned for you." He smiled cutely, his dimples showing as he skirted past me into the closet. He scooped my hand into his, dragging me along with him. "No black t-shirt for you tonight." He winked as he flipped on the light, sweeping his hand in a flourish toward a selection of outfits hanging, ready for me to pick one.
