Minho POV
"Baby, what are you doing?" Jisung asked from the passenger seat, where are we?" he looked out the windows, taking in the unfamiliar neighborhood, trying to make sense of what I was doing.
I had promised him food and a date night, and I fully intended to keep those promises. But there was something I needed to do first.
"I just- need to talk to someone real quick. Stay here, baby." I ordered, and he looked at me like I was insane.
He was probably right. I looked at my phone, checking the address Changbin had sent after I'd requested it. I clenched my jaw, unbuckling, pecking a startled Jisung on the end of the nose. "Baby- what the hell are you doing?" he acted, his tone deeper, starting to understand.
"Just needed to pay someone a visit." I deflected, climbing out of my car and walking purposefully up to the grey building, to the door on the right, not hesitating as I stood before it, knocking harshly.
I knew what had happened in this hell- and I had decided it was time for me to look upon the face that haunted my maknae's dreams. I breathed slowly- keeping my heartrate down- not intending to kill him.
I was simply on a fact finding mission.
"Fuck! I'm coming..." A nasally voice shouted from inside and when the door opened it revealed a disheveled man- somewhere close to thirty, his messy hair dyed a light brown. He wore a soccer jersey and sweatpants- a hot sauce stain blaringly obvious on his thigh. His face was... common. Not unattractive, but nothing special. "Who the hell are you?" he spat, clearly agitated by a visitor.
He let his eyes rake over me after his rude greeting, his expression changing immediately as he saw me, clearly deciding that I was attractive enough for his time. I sneered. He stunk- like stale weed and bad breath.
"I'm looking for Kwan, that you?" I asked calmly- surprised the words didn't come out as venomously as I was feeling. I had gotten the name from Changbin- information that Jeongin had shared on their ride back home after Bin had found him, a sobbing mess sitting on the sidewalk across the street. I knew he'd be pissed I'd decided to come here without him- but they didn't get it.
Jeongin was mine. I had no siblings like some of the other members- the reason Hyunjin and I were so fucking... possessive over our maknae was that to us, he filled that void- our baby brother.... Or my Sith apprentice as I liked think.
His lips curled into a disgusting grin, his teeth catching on his lip as though he were trying to flirt. "I might be..." He angled his body toward me, leaning against the doorjamb. "Depends on what I did to get such a fine little piece of ass to deliver himself to my house."
Gross.
My jaw ticked, fury coursing through my veins and I fought the urged to punch him right in the smug face. "I believe we have a mutual friend." I said calmly.
"Oh? You mean Jiho?" He asked, calling behind him. "Yo, Ho!" he smirked, clearly thinking his play on words was funny. A second, cleaner man appeared from the kitchen, apron on, hair well kept and glasses perched on his nose. He looked like any average tech assistant at a phone store.
"Who it is, Kwan?" He asked, wooden spoon still held in his hand.
I had my answer.
My hand was gripping his smelly shirt in a millisecond, pulling him forward just right so his forehead and face collided with the hard doorframe, causing blood to blossom from his nose immediately. "Ah! What the fuck, man!" His hand went to his face automatically, tears pouring from his eyes as he grappled with his new injury.
