Chan POV
Minho's words hung in the air, our reactions paused as the waitress took our drink orders. When she left, I leaned over the table toward him, intent to hear what he had to share.
"Do tell."
"So, I took Ji out last night..."
"Ooooh, date night?" Changbin interrupted, missing the point of the story.
"Well, yes- but since we were headed that way, I decided to pay a little visit..."
"You did not." I scolded.
Minho glared at me, pissed that he kept getting interrupted. "I did. Kwan lives there, and he has a roommate.
"A cohort?" Binnie asked, understanding the importance of the news.
"Unclear. His name is Jiho, and he claims to hate Kwan and his...hobbies." He grimaced, the term hiding the depraved nature of the acts he enjoyed committing.
"You're sure?" I asked, both wanting him to be right and wishing he weren't. I hated to think that the person who hurt the love of my life actually existed, and Minho had been in proximity to him.
"I'm sure. I spoke to him." He nodded, pulling his hand into his sleeve, drawing my attention enough so I saw the bruises on his knuckles.
"Min..." I warned.
"He earned that fucking punch, Chan- don't you dare scold me." He glowered. "I left with his name, bruised knuckles and information about an underground club that does this. I have Jiho's number if we choose to utilize him." He explained. His eyes looked down to his feet, which he kept crossing and uncrossing. "I got Jeongin's shoes back. And his belt." He added in a voice so small I almost mistook it for fear.
It took me a moment to comprehend what he was saying. Proof. I'd asked he and Changbin to get solid evidence, not wanting to go after someone who might be innocent. And he'd gotten it. "You're one-hundred percent sure?" I asked, the anger in my voice evident even to me.
"I bought him those fucking shoes, Chan- I'd know them anywhere." He elaborated. "I'm fucking sure." He swallowed, his eyes watching as the waitress returned with our coffees and juice.
We paused the communication to order food and once we were once again alone, he continued.
"Jisung can confirm. He fucking sobbed over those shoes. That's why he's so whiny this morning- my boyfriend nearly had a panic attack- the knowledge of what happened there that night hit him hard, man." He shook his head, sipping his coffee. "So now, what the fuck are we going to do about it?"
"What about this club?" Changbin asked, watching my face as he said it.
"No- we are not going incognito again. That near ruined us last time..." I reasoned.
"No- that got us Seungmin's freedom and revised contracts that everyone can live with." Minho argued, "But I understand your point."
"You can't be thinking..."
Minho shook his head. "I would do anything to not put my babies in harms way, Chan."
"But..." Changbin added. "I sense a but here..."
"But, I would also do anything to keep them safe and to keep your baby safe."
"But Kwan has seen your face." I pointed out.
"Yes. And Ji's. The plan needs work, I'll admit, but... maybe, just maybe there's a way."
"Well- I'm still on the wait list to become a member to Club Subjugation." Bin offered. "I haven't forgotten those fuckers that hurt Minnie."
