April Kepner's eyes widened in disbelief. "WHAT" she exclaimed, staring at Arizona Robbins.

Arizona looked around nervously, lowering her voice. "She's the woman who took me home last night."

April's jaw dropped. "No way. You mean Dr. Y/L/N?"

Before Arizona could respond, she inhaled the familiar scent of cherry blossoms, the same one that had filled her senses that morning. She turned to see Y/N standing in front of them, a warm smile on her face.

Y/N extended her hand to April. "Trauma surgeon, April Kepner, so nice to meet you."

April, still processing the revelation, managed to shake Y/N's hand. "Nice to meet you too, Dr. Y/L/N."

Y/N then turned her attention to Arizona, her smile never wavering. "Well, we meet again, Dr. Robbins." She extended her hand towards Arizona.

Caught off guard and unsure of what to say, Arizona hesitated before shaking Y/N's hand. "Uh, yes. Hello, Dr. Y/L/N."

April muttered under her breath, "Awkward."

Chief Bailey, noticing the interaction, raised an eyebrow. "Do you two know each other?"

Y/N was about to answer, but Arizona quickly blurted out, "No."

Everyone in the room fell silent, surprise evident on their faces. Y/N looked slightly taken aback, but she quickly composed herself, her professional demeanour returning.

Bailey's eyes narrowed slightly, but she continued, "Alright, let's move on."

Arizona, feeling the weight of everyone's eyes on her, nervously laughed and excused herself. "I, uh, I have rounds to do." She quickly made her way out of the room, her heart pounding.

As she exited, Jackson Avery broke the silence. "Well, that was strange nevertheless."

Bailey shook her head slightly and continued, "Anyway, Dr. Y/L/N is an esteemed orthopaedic surgeon who will be a valuable addition to our team. I expect you all to make her feel welcome."

The room buzzed with curiosity and speculation about Arizona and Y/N's apparent history, but the day had to go on. Everyone had their duties to attend to, leaving the mystery of Arizona and Y/N for another time.

Arizona hurried through the corridors, trying to calm her racing heart. She couldn't believe what had just happened. She needed to focus on her patients, but her thoughts kept drifting back to Y/N and the complicated feelings she was beginning to have.

she must avoid Y/N at all costs today.
