**Arizona's perspective**

I pulled into the hospital parking lot, already anticipating the chaos of the day ahead. As I stepped out of my car, I spotted Y/N pulling in just a few spaces away. She waved enthusiastically, her smile bright despite the early hour.

"Good morning!" I called out, walking over to meet her. "Ready to save some lives today?"

Y/N grinned, adjusting her bag on her shoulder. "Always. How about you? Did you get any sleep last night?"

"Enough to get by," I replied, matching her stride as we headed toward the entrance. "I think the coffee waiting inside will be our real saviour today."

We shared a laugh, the morning air crisp and invigorating. It felt good to start the day like this, with a sense of camaraderie that made the hospital seem less daunting.

"So," Y/N said, nudging me playfully, "any exciting plans for the day?"

"Just the usual-life-saving surgeries, endless rounds, and a million and one interruptions," I replied with a wink. "You?"

"Same here. But, hey, at least we get to do it together," she said, her smile warming me more than the coffee we were about to get.

As we entered the hospital, I felt a sense of comfort. No matter how crazy things got, having Y/N by my side made everything a little bit better.

Later in the day, as I was making my way through the hallway, I saw Eliza approaching. She had that determined look on her face, the one that usually meant she had something on her mind.

"Arizona," she said, her tone polite but firm. "Do you have a moment?"

"Sure, what's up?" I replied, trying to keep things light.

"I've been thinking about new teaching strategies and ways to improve resident training," Eliza began. "I know we've had our differences, but I think it's important for us to collaborate on this. Would you be interested in discussing it over dinner?"

I hesitated, considering her proposal. Dinner sounded innocent enough, and it could help ease some of the tension between us. "Dinner sounds good. We can talk about our ideas and see where we can improve."

Eliza's face brightened with a smile. "Great. How about tonight at 7?"

"Sure, that works for me," I agreed, still not sensing any ulterior motives.

"Perfect. I'll see you then," she said, walking away with a confident stride.

As I continued down the hallway, I couldn't shake the feeling that there might be more to Eliza's invitation than just professional collaboration. But for now, I decided to focus on the positive-maybe this dinner could be a step towards reducing the tension and improving our working relationship.

I just hoped it wouldn't complicate things further, especially with Y/N.

After my conversation with Eliza, I couldn't stop thinking about the dinner invitation. I needed to tell Y/N about it, but I wanted to make sure it didn't come across the wrong way. We had just started to get closer, and the last thing I wanted was for her to misunderstand my intentions.

I found Y/N in the break room, grabbing a quick bite between surgeries. She looked up and smiled when she saw me, and I felt a wave of reassurance.

"Hey, got a minute?" I asked, leaning against the doorframe.

"Of course," she replied, setting down her sandwich. "What's up?"

I walked over and sat next to her, trying to keep my tone casual. "So, Eliza approached me earlier today. She wants to discuss new teaching strategies and resident training over dinner tonight."
