**Arizona's perspective**

I sit in the on-call room, trying to calm my racing thoughts. I've been avoiding this confrontation with Eliza all week, and now everything has come crashing down. I've replayed the surgery over and over in my head, trying to find some solace, but it's no use. I glance at the clock, wondering where Y/N is. She promised she'd be right back.

Suddenly, I see a flurry of movement through the small window in the door. Residents are sprinting down the hallway. I frown, curiosity piqued, and open the door, stopping a passing resident.

"What's going on?" I ask, my voice edged with concern.

The resident stops, slightly out of breath. "There's been a fight by the nurses' station."

My heart skips a beat. "A fight? Between who?"

The resident hesitates, but before they can answer, I'm already moving. Dread settles in my stomach as I jog down the hallway, picking up my pace. As I approach Chief Bailey's office, I see a small crowd gathered-April, Jackson, Alex, and Meredith among them.

"What's happening?" I ask, trying to catch my breath. The worry is clear in my voice.

Alex looks at me, his expression a mix of concern and disbelief. "Y/L/N and Minnick got into a fight."

Shock freezes me in place. I glance into Bailey's office and see Y/N with a bruised lip, and Eliza holds a cold pack to her eye. Bailey stands over her desk, clearly yelling at both of them.

I push past the others and enter Bailey's office without knocking. Bailey stops mid-sentence and turns to glare at me.

"Dr. Robbins, this is not a good time," she says, her voice low and dangerous.

"I need to know what happened," I say, trying to keep my voice steady.

Bailey sighs, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Your colleagues here decided to settle their differences with their fists instead of their words."

I look at Y/N, who meets my gaze with a mixture of guilt and defiance. Eliza looks away, her eye already swelling.

"Why?" I ask, directing my question at both of them.

Y/N opens her mouth to speak, but Bailey cuts her off. "This is not the place for that discussion."

"Chief, I-" I start, but Bailey raises her hand.

"Not now, Robbins leave." Bailey instructs.

I stand outside Chief Bailey's office, pacing back and forth, when the door swings open. Eliza walks out, still holding the ice pack to her eye. She doesn't even glance at me as she brushes past, but I catch her arm.

"Eliza, what happened?" I ask, my voice laced with worry and frustration.

She scoffs, yanking her arm free and turning her head back to me. "Ask your girlfriend," she snaps before walking away.

I stand there in disbelief, the words echoing in my mind. My girlfriend?

The door to Bailey's office closes again, and I hear the soft click. I turn around to see Y/N emerging, looking exhausted and defeated. She looks up at me, and I can see the weight of the world in her eyes.

I step forward, placing a hand on her shoulder. "What happened?" I ask gently.

Y/N sighs, running a hand through her hair. "Eliza is fired, and I'm on a two-week suspension until further notice," she says, her voice flat.

Before I can say anything, Y/N turns and walks away, leaving me standing there with my heart aching for her. I watch her retreating figure, feeling a mix of anger, sadness, and helplessness.

I take a deep breath and follow her, my mind racing. We need to talk to figure this out.

I rush after Y/N as she heads towards the car park, my mind reeling with a million questions. "Y/N, wait!" I call, my voice echoing in the empty corridor. She doesn't stop, and I quicken my pace, nearly jogging to keep up with her.

By the time we reach her car, I'm out of breath. "Y/N, stop! What happened in there?" I demand, grabbing her arm as she reaches for her car door.

She yanks her arm free, her eyes flashing with anger. "What do you want to know, Arizona? That I lost my temper because Eliza has been pushing my buttons since the moment she got here? That she accused me of things that happened fifteen years ago? That she punched me first, and I just reacted?"

I step back, stunned by the intensity of her words. "I just want to understand. You could have told me-"

"Told you what, Arizona? Every time I try to make things right, she's there reminding me of every mistake I've ever made? That she tricked you into going on a date with her, and I had to watch you walk away, thinking it was all professional?"

Her words hit me like a ton of bricks, and I feel my heart ache. "I didn't know, Y/N. I thought it was just a work dinner. I never wanted to hurt you."

She takes a deep breath, her shoulders slumping. "I know, Arizona. But you need to know that Eliza sees you as some kind of prize to be won. She keeps talking about you like you're an object, something that she deserves after all these years. It's infuriating."

I feel a wave of nausea at the thought. "She said that?" I ask, my voice barely a whisper.

"She did," Y/N confirms, her voice trembling with anger. "And when I stood up for you, she hit me. I might have deserved that punch fifteen years ago, but I sure as hell didn't deserve it now."

I reach out, but she steps back, opening her car door. "I'm going home," she says, her voice softer now but still firm. "I need time to cool off."

I watch helplessly as she gets into her car and drives away, leaving me standing there with a knot of worry and regret tightening in my chest.
