19. Aravs Confusion

Arav's Room, Night: Arav opens his eyes after Summer leaves, thinking deeply.

Arav: (To himself) Why am I hiding from Summer? Why can't I understand my own feelings?

[He lies there, lost in thought, until he eventually falls asleep. The next morning, he wakes up and looks at the clock. It reads 7:30 AM.]

Arav: (To himself) It's still early. Sammy is probably still asleep.

[He goes to the bathroom and stands in front of the mirror, thinking.]

Arav: (To himself) What are these feelings? Is Prachi right? Do I have feelings for Summer beyond friendship? I need to figure this out.

[He dresses up and heads downstairs, still deep in thought. As he enters the drawing room, he is surprised to see Summer sitting there, drinking coffee and chatting with his parents.]

Summer: (Noticing Arav) Hey, Buddy! Morning!

Priya: (Smiling) Look who decided to wake up early today.

Arav: (Surprised) Sammy, what are you doing here so early? How did you get up so early?

Summer: (Grinning) Just wanted to check on you. Radha Mom made some amazing coffee, so I thought I'd join them for a bit.

Vijay: (Laughing) We were just talking about how you used to drag Summer out of bed on weekends.

Arav: (Smiling weakly) Yeah, those were the days.

Priya: Are you feeling better, Arav? You seemed really tired last night.

Arav: (Nodding) Yeah, I'm feeling better. Just needed some rest.

Summer: (Concerned) You sure you're okay? You seemed really out of it yesterday.

Arav: (Trying to sound casual) Yeah, I'm fine. Just had a lot on my mind.

Summer: (Nodding) Well, I'm here if you want to talk about it.

Arav: (Casually) Thanks, buddy, But I am ok.

Priya: (Standing up) How about some breakfast, boys?

Summer: (Smiling) That sounds like a great idea.

Vijay: (Looking at Summer) Sure, let's have breakfast.

They all head to the dining table, and Arav feels a mix of relief and confusion. He decides to take things one step at a time, ready to confront his feelings when the moment is right.

Arav: (To himself) I'll figure this out. But for now, I'm glad Summer is here,Thanks buddy

Arav and Summer finish breakfast and decide to go to Summer’s home before heading to college.

Arav: (Smiling) Ready to head over to your place?

Summer: (Grinning) Yep, let’s go. We’ve got some time before we need to leave for college.

They walk to Summer’s house and enter. Summer’s dad, David, is getting ready to leave for the office.

David: (Smiling) Morning, boys. How was breakfast?

Summer: (Cheerfully) Great, Dad. Priya mom makes the best coffee.

Arav: (Nodding) She really does.

[Rohan, Summer’s brother, comes down the stairs, looking sleepy.]

Summer: (Teasing) Look who decided to join the living! Morning, sleepyhead.

Rohan: (Groaning) Morning. Why are you always so annoying, Summer?

Summer: (Mockingly) Because it’s my job as your older brother.

Arav: (Laughing) Alright, Sammy, leave him alone. Let’s go to your room.

Summer: (Grinning) Fine, fine. See you later, Dad. Bye, sleepyhead!

David: (Smiling) Have a good day, boys.

Rohan: (Yawning) Yeah, yeah, have a good day bro, don't come home and stay at Arav home so,I will be happy.

[Summer and Arav head to Summer’s room. Arav spots the piano and his face lights up.Arav sits at the piano and starts playing a cheerful tune. Summer watches him, feeling reassured to see Arav happy.]

Summer: (Content) You always look so happy when you play the piano.

Arav: (Smiling) It’s like therapy for me. Helps me clear my mind.

Summer: (to himself) I’m glad to see you in a good mood buddy.

Arav: (Pausing for a moment) sammy is always there for me.i how to clear everything, what if prachi is talking truth..?

Summer: (Grateful) Ready to head to college soon buddy?

Arav: (Nodding) Yeah, let’s finish up here and then we can go.

They enjoy a few more moments of music and laughter before getting ready to head to college, feeling more connected and reassured about their friendship.
