Summer's mom chuckled. **"I'm glad you liked it. Now go, and don't stay up too late, okay?"**
Arav, feeling full and content, stood up with Summer. **"Thank you for the meal, aunty."**
**Summer's Mom (warmly):** "You don't need to thank me, beta. You're always welcome here."
Just as they were about to leave, Rohan smirked. **"Oh, are you two going on a little date now?"**
Summer rolled his eyes. **"No, idiot. I'm just dropping Arav home."**
Arav gave Rohan a shy smile before stepping out with Summer. As they walked toward Arav's house, the night air was cool, and the streets were quiet.
**Summer (grinning):** "I think Maa likes you more than me now."
Arav chuckled. **"She's really sweet. I was nervous, but... I feel relieved."**
Summer glanced at him, his heart warming. **"You don't have to be nervous around my family, Arav. They're your family too now."**
Arav stopped walking for a moment, looking at Summer with an unreadable expression.
**Arav (softly):** "You really mean that?"
Summer turned fully toward him, stepping a little closer. **"Of course, I do. You mean a lot to me, Arav."**
For a moment, they just stood there, looking at each other. The streetlights cast a soft glow around them, and the night was quiet except for the faint sound of crickets.
Arav's heart pounded. He wanted to say something, but before he could, Summer reached out and gently took his hand.
**Summer (playfully but with sincerity):** "You know... you still haven't said yes to being my boyfriend."
Arav smirked. **"And you still haven't properly proposed."**
Summer groaned dramatically. **"Ugh, you're impossible."**
Arav laughed, his grip on Summer's hand tightening slightly. **"But you like me anyway."**
**Summer (grinning):** "Yeah... I do."
They reached Arav's house, and Summer followed him inside. The moment the door closed behind them, Summer sighed.
**Summer:** "I don't feel like leaving yet."
Arav raised an eyebrow. **"So stay."**
Summer blinked in surprise before smirking. **"You sure you won't kick me out in the middle of the night?"**
Arav rolled his eyes. **"Shut up and come inside."**
They went to Arav's room, and as soon as Summer flopped onto the bed, he sighed dramatically. **"Ah, your bed is so comfy. Maybe I should just move in."**
Arav sat beside him, shaking his head. **"You're so dramatic."**
Summer turned on his side, looking up at Arav. **"Hey... you're happy, right?"**
Arav looked down at him, surprised by the sudden question. **"Of course, I am."**
**Summer:** "Good. Because I don't ever want to be the reason you're not."
Arav felt his chest tighten, a mix of emotions overwhelming him. He reached out, brushing a strand of hair from Summer's forehead.
