The past three days have been a blur of activity. Each morning, the students wake up, have breakfast, work on the school renovations, enjoy dinner together, and then rest. Prachi has been subtly trying to make Summer jealous by spending time with Arav, hoping to make him reflect on his feelings. On the fourth day, everyone is buzzing with excitement as the local children are set to return to the newly renovated school.
[In the early morning, the group gathers for breakfast in the common area.]
College President: (Clapping hands) Alright, everyone, let's finish up breakfast and get ready. The children will be here soon, and we want everything to be perfect.
[Everyone finishes their meal and heads out to put the final touches on the school. The atmosphere is filled with anticipation and a sense of accomplishment. As they work, Prachi makes sure to stay close to Arav, chatting and laughing, while Summer keeps a watchful eye, a mix of emotions stirring within him.]
Later, the sound of children's laughter and excitement fills the air as they arrive. The volunteers watch as the children rush in, eyes wide with amazement at the brightly painted walls, the new books, and the colorful posters.
Child 1: (Excitedly) Wow! This is so cool!
Child 2: (Pointing to a poster) Look at this one! It's so pretty
The Volunteers beam with pride, watching the children explore their transformed school. Summer, seeing the joy on the children's faces, feels a warmth spread through him, momentarily pushing aside his inner turmoil.
Prachi: (To Arav, quietly) Look at them, they're so happy. We did good.
Arav: (Nodding, smiling) Yeah, we did.
[Summer overhears and looks over at them, feeling a pang of something he can't quite name. The sight of Prachi and Arav standing close, sharing a moment, stirs something inside him. He remembers the moments over the past few days—Prachi's constant presence with Arav, the teasing, the laughter—and he feels a mix of jealousy and confusion.]
Summer: (To himself, softly) What is this feeling...?
As the day goes on, the Volunteers play games with the children, share stories, and bask in the joy of the moment. But even in this joyous atmosphere, Summer's thoughts keep drifting back to Prachi and Arav, and the nagging feeling in his chest that he can't ignore
[As the day draws to a close, the volunteers gather for one last meal together, sharing stories and laughter. Summer sits quietly, lost in thought, as he watches Arav and Prachi interact. He knows he needs to figure out his feelings, but the uncertainty scares him.]
The group of friends, along with a few others, sit in a circle in the dimly lit common room, playing a game of truth or dare. Laughter fills the room as Subham spins the bottle. It slowly comes to a stop, pointing directly at Prachi.]
Subham: (Grinning) Alright, Prachi, truth or dare?
Prachi: (Without hesitation) Dare.
Subham: (Pretending to think deeply) Hmm, okay. I dare you to...kiss the person next to you!
Prachi: (Without hesitation) Dare.
Subham: (Pretending to think deeply) Hmm, okay. I dare you to...kiss the person next to you!
[Everyone gasps and then bursts into laughter, looking expectantly at Prachi and Arav, who are seated next to each other. The room fills with chants and cheers.]
Everyone: (Chanting) Come on, Prachi! Come on, Arav!
Arav and Summer both freeze, shock evident on their faces. Prachi, though momentarily taken aback, catches Subham's wink and understands the plan. She decides to play along, leaning towards Arav with a playful smile.]
Prachi: (Playfully) Well, a dare's a dare
[As she leans closer to Arav, Summer's eyes widen, his heart racing. Just as Prachi is about to reach Arav, Summer abruptly stands up, grabs Arav's arm, and drags him away from the group, heading towards an empty classroom. The room falls silent, everyone watching in stunned silence. Prachi, Saurav, and Subham exchange knowing looks and subtle winks.]
Subham: (Softly) Well, that was unexpected...
