Spy for a spy

Ever since I could remember, it was dad who was the one who cared for me. I never knew who my mom was. Dad told me she wasn't to take care of me, so she left. I was too young to recall her.

So it was me and dad against the world, inseparable. One of my favorite memories was of us going to the museum, looking at all the cool skeletons. I was sitting on dad's shoulder, almost teaching a dinosaur's skeleton.

Over time, dad got busy. He would brush me off and sometimes kick me out of his office. He felt like a different person, but it was just because he was busy with work.

His friend Clouse wasn't that friendly, but he often looked after me when Dad had work to do. We lived pretty isolated, so there weren't kids around to play with.

When I was older, in my teenage years. He became kinder and gave me more attention than he used to. He told me about this magic crystal that could steal elemental powers, he sounded so excited when he told me about it.

He began to also train me. He was already a Sensei, so he knew what he was doing. He praises me for ability to grasp fighting techniques fast, I missed his smile.

I will make him proud, I will.

The left over elemental masters sit in the main hall at a semi-circle shaped table, an array of dishes presented infront of them. Kabuki walk around, putting down dishes.

"This is a feast to celebrate the eight of you making it to the second round. And I must congratulate the Master of Shadow's defeat over Master of Poison. She was a bit hard to swallow, am I right?" Chen praises Shade, who was sitting on his own. The only other two who didn't join the alliance, Camille and Tox were gone.

(I feel kinda bad for Tox. First she gets pushed around by Thunder blade by everyone and then she gets eliminated off screen)

The Kabuki 'laugh' but not enough to please Chen. "Laugh harder! Hahahaha!" To which the Kabuki do.

Uncertain, Lloyd raises his eyebrows. But he was reasured by Kai "You can relax, Lloyd. Even if there was a fight, now that we told the others about Chen's dirty plot to steal our Powers, we're safe in our secret alliance"

"I tried to enlist Shadow, but that dude's throwing some serious shade" Griffin whispers, motioning his head towards the shadow master sitting next to him.

"Well, if you plan to stop Chen, you'll need everyone on board. Each fighter that loses gives him strength. Soon he'll be too powerful for even all of you combined to overcome" Garmadon advises the younger elemental masters.

A Kabuki walks by with a tray of Fortune cookies, the participants each grabbing one.

(Y/n) opens it, looking at the piece of paper "On a day of celebration, a misfortune will happen on one of your loved ones". She turns to Jay, who was on her left "What does yours say?"

Looking down, Jay reads outloud "Riches will be bestowed to you".

"Did I piss some god when I was born, what is this" The master of crystal mumbles.

Their attention was brought as Chen begins to speak "It has come to my attention that there are rumors floating about that I am stealing everyone's power. I am. But it's all for this staff"

He claps his hands. The Kabuki pull out fans, waving them. "No, no. Not you, staff. I mean my real staff"

A Kabuki walks in with a staff, ontop was a multicolored stone with a skull on it. Infront of it was a small golden shield with an Anacondrai head carved into it.
