Crystal Heart || Ninjago x reader||

The Invitation

Ninjago City. The name alone gave (Y/n) nostalgia, she wasn't been there for a long time. When her father told about it, when she and the others fought the serpentine, defeating the Devourer and saving it from the Overlord.

She parks her crystal motor, locking it. She crosses the road, walking it into the park. The (h/c)nette looks up the metal statue of her friend and teammate, she frowns at the thought of him being gone forever.

The statue was covered in moss and bird poop, showing that was standing there for a while. At the time she found out about his sacrifice, she was on the other side of Ninjago.

She was too caught in thought to notice someone approaching her. She was pulled out of her train of thoughts when they snatch her bag and run off.

"Hey, get back here, you prick!" She tells, sprinting after him. She was trying to mourn, but ofcourse she gets robbed.

The Ninja follows after them, being lead into an alleyway. She was met with a shrine looking thing, a drawing of Zane stood there. Under it was a plate with a single fortune cookies. Her bag was laying on the ground infront of it.

Walking up to it, (Y/n) grabs the Fortune cookie and breaks it. "Master Chen has personally invited you to participate in his Tournament of Elements. Secrecy is of the utmost importance. Tell no one, or suffer the consequences. If you ever want to see your friend again, meet on the pier at midnight and leave your weapons behind"

Just when she finishes reading out loud, the piece of paper explores. "How nice of it to wait for me to finish to explode in my face" She says, coughing from the smoke.

'A Tournament to save Zane. Guess I'll be seeing the others very soon. I'm coming for you, Zane'

Once she arrives at the dock, she spots the boat drifting by it. There seemed be guards and a few other people. It seems that she was early.

She gets into the boat, only to be stopped by a man with a mustache "Not to fast, the invitation said no weapons"

(Y/n) lets out a huff. She reaches into her bag and drops a bunch of knives and kunai onto the deck.

"All of them" The man says, sounding unimpressed. Giving in, (Y/n) pulls a kunai out of hair, one from behind her back and finally she takes off her shoe and pats the bottom.

All at once, a pile of sharp weapon fall from it. The two look at the pile on the wooden deck, the man being too done with it to be surprised.

"How did you even walk here?"

The Ninja, along with Garmadon stroll around the boat, observing the other elemental masters. A metal man, one that can levitate, a master of nature, someone with a banjo and the other masters weren't in view.

"You know him. You said his name's Clouse" Lloyd says to his father. The two watching the mentioned man walk across the deck with three guards behind him.

"Don't be fooled by his attire. He is a Master of Dark Arts and Master Chen's number two" Sensei Garmadon Warns his students.

"Huh, I thought Master Chen's number two was an eggroll and fried rice" Cole jokes, placing his hands on his hips.

"Why haven't you or Wu ever told us there are others with powers like us?" Kai questions the old man.

"Because there are some things we don't want you to know. You were led to believe you were special, yet you never questioned where your powers came from" Garmadon answers, his words sounds slightly harsh.
