MAYA

I got ready and descended the stairs. As I reached down, I saw him sitting on the sofa. I walked towards him and he noticed it and he looked at me. He stood up and stared at me for too long like he was not able to divert his attention from me. I too stared at him and took in his appearance. I walked towards him and stood in front of him. He mumbled “Goddess” under his breath that really made blood rush towards my cheeks. 

We walked towards the black limousine and sat in the passenger seat with a convenient distance between us. I stared out of the window. All the thoughts of the last few days have been running through my mind making me restless and on top of that, I knew that Advait was searching for Sitara because he always talks about how he is planning to destroy our lives. But my heart told me that what Sitara did was for a reason because I know she won't do something like this on purpose. 

I turned towards him and hesitantly spoke “Are you looking for Sitara I mean if you are then please don’t do it, I know what she did was not right but she might have her reasons as you know in this society girls are blamed for everything, so I think you should take that in consideration and I can understand that you were in love with her and all this might be hurting you but please I request you to think on this” he looked at me like I'm speaking nonsense he took a sharp breath and said “Listen my name sake wife this all is not your fucking business so mind your own work and let me do mine” that was so rude one moment he compliments me and another moment he gets cold as ice and after saying this he just ignored me like is he even serious. I huffed and again stared out of the window.

As we reached the destination we stepped out of the car and Advait, like a gentleman came forward and held my hand. I know this is a publicity stunt its to prove to the people that we are a real couple but the thing is totally opposite. As we proceeded towards the entrance we were gathered by a huge crowd of paparazzi and they blurted out so irrelevant questions, like so out of the box. Seriously ye log ekta kapoor ke dailysoaps se questions adapt karte hai ky? and don't ask me how I know about Indian daily soaps because TMKOC and Spiltsvilla are my favourite shows.

One of the paparazzi tried to come near me but before he could do something Advait held his collar and said “How dare you come near her I am silent that doesn't mean you all will act like a fucking animal respect the privacy of the woman especially my woman do you all get that, stay away from her I won't hesitate to destroy your careers” I was shocked just few minutes earlier he was all rude with me but now he just took my side and protected me and the highlight is he called me *His Woman* a pink hue coated my cheeks listening to it but the fear crept inside me the fear of someone touching me rushed in my gut. I didn't get the time to process anything and before I could do something unconscious swept me away and everything went dark.

The moment I opened my eyes I found myself on the sofa in a half sleeping position and just above my face I saw Anika staring at me intensely and a glass of water in her hand and water droplets sprinkled on my face. I sat straight up on the sofa and looked at everyone but I was searching for someone and finally my orbs met with the autumn green orbs which took me every time I looked at them. He too stared at me I looked at him finding for answers of what happened when I was unconscious. Till then Maa came towards me and stroked my cheeks “Maya what happened, how did you fainted beta” I looked at her and soon tears formed at the edge of my eyes. Out of nowhere Vivaan came towards me and hugged the life outta me with a trembling voice he said “Bhabhisa what happened to you I was scared till you opened your eyes”. Soon Anika too joined the hug and I swear this hug felt nice and warm . I don't even know how we bonded so well but I won't change it for the world.
