Madeline-

Saturday night, Blaise, Draco, and I were decorating Theo and Daphne's apartment. He had informed me about his proposal, I screamed so loud that Michael ran in thought I was being attacked, and then we planned the perfect proposal. They were going to spend the day together, and then around 7 were going to come back to find a beautifully decorated flat and he was going to ask her there while we hide in the balcony to surprise her and have a little party after.

"I really thought I was going to have a girlfriend by now." Blaise huffed, as he lit the last candle. They were going to be coming in 40 minutes. Blaise and Draco wanted to do everything with magic, but I wanted to do it by hand. It would be more thoughtful that way.

"Yeah, I think we'd all thought that Blaise. Have you ever had a serious girlfriend?" Draco smirked; Blaise shot him a glare.

"Shut up. I've had girlfriend's before when you were in America but nothing serious." Blaise huffed, as I set the last rose down. Draco and I had been avoiding each other the whole time we were setting up, only ever talking if necessary and so far, Blaise was cutting through the awkward tension, and I was so thankful for that.

"I really didn't like your last girlfriend, Amy. I swear she thought I wanted to sleep with you." I signed, setting the bottle of fire whiskey on the table.

"I know you secretly do Mads. Don't lie." I threw a pillow at him, it hit his head, he flew back on the coach with a loud thud. Draco laughed as Blaise flicked me off.

"Okay that should be it." I said, I looked around the room. We had set rose petals all over the floor, not leaving a single piece of floor without roses. There were candles in little glass cups I bought all around the tables and some on the ground. I put several on the floor around it, so the room can have a nice glow to it. There were two wine glasses on the table, and a large bottle of firewhiskey for them. It was beautiful, and I couldn't wait for her to see it.

We waited another twenty minutes before we decided to head to the balcony. It was really dark, so she wouldn't see. We drew the curtains shut just a little bit, so she wouldn't see us, but we could still them.

We waited ten more minutes with Draco and Blaise talking about the latest quidditch match, I was watching the streets, waiting for them to appear. They never really apparat anywhere unless necessary, Daphne doesn't like it, it makes her feel sick. Finally, I could see them, walking down the street. She was laughing at something Theo said, I looked over the outfit I had picked out for her this morning. I had come over for breakfast, well more like forced myself in. She had told me once that she didn't want to get engaged in a white dress because she was going to be wearing white at every event.

So, I had picked out a long light pink puff sleeved dress with a square neckline, and white flower print all over it. We heard them unlock the door, we squished ourselves against each other, looking like a cartoon, Draco was first, being the tallest. Blaise in the middle, since he was a little shorter than Draco, and me at the end, crouched down on my knees, praying I wasn't ruining my green dress.

"What's all this?" Daphne said, she walked deeper into the room, taking in the roses, candles, and drinks. Theo took out his ring and got down on one knee. Daphne turned around, we heard her gasp, she covered her mouth with her hand, looking down at Theo with wide eyes.

"Daphne, I have loved you since we were kids before Hogwarts, or before we even knew our other friends. You are my everything, I don't exist if you are not with me. You are the only person who surrounds my thoughts, feelings, and head. When we were in the battle of Hogwarts, and I thought you were dead for that half hour, I felt like I had died along with you. I couldn't breathe, I couldn't even fight. I was ready to die along with you so I could spend my afterlife with you because you own my soul. I couldn't live in this life without you. So, will you marry me, Daphne Greengrass?" There were tears running down Daphne's face, but she still looked beautiful, as she nodded her head.
