Madeline-
The next morning, I was exhausted from staying up late. Draco and I stayed in the sunroom an extra thirty minutes before we decided to head upstairs, and go to sleep. But right now the words on my papers were blurring together, my eyes were suddenly very heavy.
I put my quill down, and stood up, deciding to leave my white cardigan here. I wore a dark blue silk top, with puffy long sleeves, and long white puffy trousers, and dark blue heels. I thank god that I had Meredith this morning to help me change or I would be in sweats and a tank top. I grabbed my purse from the desk, and walked out of my office, locking the door behind me.
"Your highness, is there something you needed?" Juliette asked, standing up. I waved a dissmisve hand at her.
"No, no, I'm just going to grab a cup of coffee real quick."
"Oh! I can go get that for you," Juliette already moved out from behind her desk.
"No, that's okay, Juliette. I want to stretch my legs or I'm going to fall asleep on my desk. Can you just send word to Blaise that I need to talk to him and have him be up here by the time I come back up?"
"Yes your highness." She said, already picking up a quill and parchment. I walked to the elevator, pressing the down button. The doors opened a couple minutes later, Draco was the only one standing in the elevator. I walked in, pressing the cafeteria button before moving to stand next to him.
"Are you as exhausted as I am?" I asked him,
"Yes. I was heading down for some coffee."
"I was too. Maybe tonight we shouldn't have stayed up so late." Draco laughed.
"Yeah, but it was worth it. That comet was beautiful." I looked up at him, smiling from ear to ear, the comet was so beautiful I wish I could go back and see it again.
"Yeah, it definitely was beautiful." Draco's mouth quirked up just a little, like he was hiding something from me, but I didn't know what. The elevator doors opened, Potter and Weasley stood holding four large sandwiches in there hands. They almost dropped their sandwiches when they saw Draco, he glared at them, looking almost murderous. We stepped out of the elovator, Potter and Weasley straightened their shoulders, and held there heads up high, waiting for Draco to start screaming.
"What the bloody hell are you two doing down here? I asked you two to stay with Mr. Gunther! That's all you need to do! The man was just got out of a bloody murder attempt after his wife was killed! You need to figure out who the hell tried to kill this man because he is constantly camped out in my office!"
"Mr. Gunther asked for food, we had Blaise and Thoe watching him right now. He was scared someone was going to poison his food so he asked us to go grab it." Potter explained, Malfoy scowled deepened.
"Go! Now. I better see Mr. Gunther still alive when I get back there." He muttered, the two nodded and hurried away, chuckling under there breaths.
"Those two are going to be the death of me." Draco huffed, we walked to the coffee stand, and order one black coffee for Draco, one coffee with cream and sugar for me. Draco set down four gallenns on the stand.
"Wait no I can pay for mine-" I said, but the cashier had already taken the gallons.
"Why did you do that?" I asked, picking up my cup of coffee. He shrugged.
"It's not a big deal, it's just a coffee." He shrugged a shoulder, we walked back to the eleavtor, pressing the up button.
"I'll buy you the next one." I said, Draco chuckled under his breath, and nodded.
"So, what was your favorite constellation? I wanted to ask you that last night but I got so tired, I forgot." I said, the elevator doors opened, there were two girls in there, they eyed Draco as we walked in. I tried not to roll my eyes, we faced the door, trying to ignore there burning gazes.
"My favorite one?" He repeated, I nodded.
"Scorpius."
"Why?"
"Because that was the first one Michael ever showed me. What about you?"
"Corona Australis," I said.
"The southern crown," Draco said, I nodded. The doors opened, the girls behind us, walked past. One brushed her hand against Draco's arm, she giggled, the sound annoying and high. This time I did roll my eyes. Draco glanced down his nose at her, a smile didn't even reach his lips, the doors shut behind them. We stood in silence until the doors opened at his floor.
"I'll see you at home." Draco said, looking down at me from over his shoulder, I nodded, waving goodbye as the doors shut. I went up three more floors before I finally got to my elevator, Juliette stood up once she saw me. I nodded a greeting at her, taking my wand out of my bag. Blaise was sitting on a chair waiting for me.
"Thank you, Juliette." I said, as Blaise stood up.
"Thank god you called for me, I was dying of boredom watching Mr. Gunther." He huffed, I laughed as I unlocked my door.
"You know, I was thinking about your name Minister of Magic. Have you ever thought about being called Mistress of Magic? Isn't that even cooler?" Blaise asked, I shrugged, sitting down and putting my purse on the hook of my chair.
"I thought about that, but is it a little...sexual?" I asked, Blaise smirked deepened.
"Well, it's not sexual unless you make it." He said, I laughed, shaking my head at him.
"So, what did you want to see me here for anyway?" Blaise asked, leaning back in his chair, he crossed one leg over the other, intertwined his fingers, and rested them on his thigh. I opened my desk drawer taking out a large stack of parchments, I pressed my wand against the parchments, and they all started rolling themselves up. I needed to get the last two weeks of wizard and witch's trials and what punishment was decided.
"Well, I need you to help-"
"Oh god," Blaise huffed. Parchments started to disappear in thin air, going exactly where I needed them too.
"Blaise, I haven't even told you what you need to help with." I scoffed, glaring at him through my eyelashes, I raised my eyebrows at him.
"Doesn't mean I want to help." He muttered under his breath
"I heard that," I pointed at his head with my wand, a parchment hit him over the head.
"Ow," He glared at the parchment, rubbing his head.
"I need you to help Lu-do not interrupt me." I hissed as he opened his mouth, it earned him another whack with the parchment.
"Luna Lovegood, she works for her father's paper. What was it called...ah yes, the quibbler. She wants to do a paper about the Auror's. I think something to do with her belief in vampire's secretly infiltrating Auror's. Honestly, I'm not even sure what it was, exactly. She can explain it better. But she needs someone to show her the ropes. I wanted to ask Potter but his wife's pregnant, so I decided not to. Weasley said he couldn't because his brother needs his help with something, I don't know I honestly wasn't listening. Draco already has to protect me; Theo has a wedding to plan. And you are the only one left, and I will not be taking no for an answer." I explained, Blaise scowled.
"There's no way I'm getting out of this right?" He asked, I shook my head.
"Nope."
"Fine, you're lucky she's hot. I love the hot kind of crazy girls." Blaise put his hands of the arms of the chair and pushed himself up. The parchment I used to hit him, disappeared in thin air. He walked to the door, smirking at me over his shoulder.
"Blaise! A lot of people read the quibbler, please don't do anything to hurt the ministry's image!" I shouted as he opened the door.
"Of course not," He winked, shutting the door behind him.
Oh god.
