Hoshina continued to smile amused at the interaction and chuckled softly, his eyes then moving to observe Suori silently. The vice captain admired her ability to remain calm regardless of the tension between the MDF and the other divisions.

He wondered about her backstory and what had led to her current state, finding himself surprisingly intrigued by her. Suddenly, Ashiro bumped his shoulders, snapping him out of his thoughts.

"Focus." Ashiro gently scolded him, noticing his distracted behavior.

Hoshina stumbled a bit as he fake cough.

"The MDF unit were made to heal people. You're not wrong"

Suori said with a soft tone.

"But,if the defense force division were the one who only got send by the higher-ups, who will take care of the injured?"

She smiles softly. Leaving the person who just talked bad about her unit blush a bit while Kanroji stay silent, respecting her.

Hoshina couldn't help but feel a little touched by Suori's calm yet witty retort. She made a valid point, and he found himself somewhat impressed by her ability to keep her composure despite the negative comments directed towards her unit.

Meanwhile, Ashiro crossed her arms, her expression showing a hint of approval. "She has a point," Ashiro mumbled quietly. "Those who heal also play a crucial role in the fight against the Kaiju."

Hoshina simply smiled and nodded in agreement with Ashiro. He turned his attention back to Suori, noting the subtle blush on the person's cheeks who had made the derogatory comment about the MDF unit.

Hoshina leaned back in his chair, folding his arms casually. "She's got a good spirit," he murmured to himself, appreciating Suori's feisty yet composed manner. He couldn't help but be intrigued by the unique personality that the medical officer possessed.

Suori then get up, smiling as she looks at the first division.

"Shall we go now?"
She gently gesture them

She surely have the elegant aura...

The other division leaders and the higher-ups nodded in agreement. Hoshina stood up as well, stretching his arms and let out a soft yawn. He observed Suori and Kanroji, taking note of how the teenager stayed by her side, almost as if she was protecting Suori. Hoshina found this quite interesting and continued to watch their dynamic silently.

As the first division and the MDF unit were on their mission. Others were doing their daily routine. Exercising, training, practice, studying and maybe... paperwork. Which Hoshina actually hate it

Hoshina groaned in frustration, leaning his head back against the chair. He had spent hours stuck behind his desk, tackling an endless mountain of paperwork. The monotonous task was far from what he enjoyed doing, and his boredom was slowly getting the best of him.

Glancing sidelong at Ashiro, who was diligently working on her own paperwork, a small pout formed on Hoshina's face. He couldn't help but feel envious of her disciplined focus.

Hoshina slouched further in his chair, the boredom growing even more unbearable. He glanced over at Ashiro once more, her unwavering concentration only serving to highlight his own restlessness.

With a sigh, he attempted to return his attention to the paperwork, but his mind simply refused to cooperate. Hoshina's eyes then darted around the room, searching for some form of distraction from the mundane chore in front of him.

As they continue to work,a new information were given by using the speaker inside the building.

"Attention. The First Division unit and the MDF arrived here safely. The Kaiju has been eliminated and people who are injured already saved by MDF"

Hoshina let out a sigh of relief, the news of the safe arrival of the first division unit and the MDF bringing a small sense of ease to him. He pushed aside the papers on his desk and leaned back in his chair, stretching his arms out.

Ashiro looked at him, a knowing smirk on her face. "Looks like the first division took care of it," she said, her tone hinting slight sarcasm. Hoshina rolled his eyes, but couldn’t help the grin that tugged at the corner of his lips. "Always the quick ones, aren't they?"

Hoshina chuckled softly before crossing his arms. He glanced at Ashiro, a playful glint in his eyes. "But I have to admit, the MDF played a crucial part too. Those who heal, save lives as well."

Ashiro raised an eyebrow, seemingly surprised by his comment. "Since when did you start praising the MDF?"

Hoshina shrugged nonchalantly, trying to appear nonchalant. "Just acknowledging facts."

His thoughts wandered back to Suori, remembering the way she had handled the situation with the first division. He couldn't help but admire her calm demeanor especially when dealing with the arrogant and obnoxious unit.

Hoshina glanced at Ashiro, debating whether he should mention his interest in Suori or keep it to himself.

"You know," Hoshina started, leaning forward slightly in his chair. "The MDF head, Suori. She handled the first division quite well, don't you think?"

He carefully observed Ashiro's reaction, trying to gauge if she had noticed his growing interest in the medical officer.

Ashiro paused for a moment, her eyes narrowing slightly as she scrutinized Hoshina's expression. She could sense the hint of admiration in his voice, but decided to play along with his charade.

"She held her own quite well," Ashiro replied, her tone nonchalant. "But she has her fair share of stubborn opponents, like Kanroji."

Hoshina chuckled, leaning back in his chair. "That Kanroji sure is something. Always sticking to Suori, like she's her bodyguard or something."

He paused for a moment, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "But I have to admit, Suori can handle herself quite well, even with that teenager glued to her side."

Ashiro took notice of Hoshina's smile and raised an eyebrow. "You seem quite intrigued by Suori."

Hoshina tried to brush off her comment, shrugging nonchalantly once again. "Just making an observation. She's an interesting person, that's all."

But Ashiro wasn't fooled. She had known Hoshina long enough to read him like an open book.

Ashiro leaned back in her chair, a playful smirk on her face. "Oh, really? Just an 'observation'? I know you better than that, Hoshina."

Hoshina's smile faltered slightly, realizing that he couldn't hide his interest from her. He shifted in his chair uncomfortably, knowing Ashiro could see right through him.

"Okay, fine," Hoshina admitted reluctantly. "I do find Suori intriguing. Happy now?"

He attempted to sound nonchalant, but the slight hint of defensiveness in his voice betrayed his true feelings.

Ashiro chuckled, her smirk widening. "Oh, I'm not done yet. You know, she's an MDF member."

Hoshina rolled his eyes, letting out an exaggerated sigh. "I know that, Ashiro. What's your point?"

Ashiro leaned forward, resting her elbows on the desk, her expression growing more teasing. "And that means she's off-limits for you."

Ashiro chuckled again, clearly enjoying teasing Hoshina. "Come on, you know the tension between the MDF and the other divisions. You think they'd just let you date one of theirs?"

Hoshina let out an exasperated sigh, realizing that Ashiro had a point. "Yeah, I suppose you're right. But it doesn't mean I can't admire her from afar, right?"

Ashiro's smirk widened even more. "Admiring from afar, eh? I never thought you'd be one to pine over someone."

Hoshina shot her a glare, his cheeks turning slightly red. "Shut up, Ashiro. I'm not pining, just... admiring."

Yeah.. admiring..
