Week have passed since the incident happened. Hoshina, now inside his favorite cafe, sipping his coffee while looking outside, gazing at the sky, watching the snowflakes falls.

Hoshina sipped his coffee slowly, the hot liquid soothing his throat. He looked out the cafe window, lost in thought. It had been a week since the incident with those men, but the memory still lingered in his mind. He couldn't help but wonder about Kanroji and Satori.

Suddenly, his peaceful contemplation was interrupted by a familiar voice. "Mind if I join you?"

Looking up to the figure, only to found Satori smiling at him

Hoshina smiled as he recognized Satori. He gestured to the empty seat across from him, "Of course, have a seat."

As Satori settled into the chair, Hoshina took another sip of his coffee, watching him with a sense of anticipation.

"Kanroji is here too but she's hiding from you". Satori said looking at Kanroji's direction who's watching them behind a fake tree that were used for a decorative.

"She still thinks you as a rival but she's also wanted to let her guard down a bit". Satori chuckle softly, smiling as he looks at Hoshina again.

"Thank you again,at that time"

Hoshina chuckled at Kanroji's hiding spot, his expression amused. Then he turned his attention back to Satori.

"Don't mention it," he said, waving off the thanks with a dismissive gesture of his hand. "I'm just glad I was there at the right time."

He then took another sip of his coffee, regarding Satori curiously. "How is she doing? I hope she's not still traumatized by that incident."

"so far, she's in her neutral condition. Nothing serious."

Satori look at Kanroji as he walked towards her, taking her by the back of the collar of her shirt. She hissed and struggling while Satori just casually bring her and let her sit beside him.

"You should've say thanks to him at least". Satori gently nagged her

Kanroji grumbled as she was brought over and seated. She shot a glare at Satori, then turned her gaze towards Hoshina.

"Fine," she huffed. "Thank you," she mumbled, her voice reluctant but genuine. She still had a defiant air about her, as if bracing for a challenge.

Hoshina chuckled at Kanroji's stubbornness, amused by her demeanor. "You're welcome," he replied, taking another sip of his coffee.

He watched the two of them with interest, observing their interaction. It was clear that they were close, with Satori playing the big brother role to Kanroji, yet they still seemed to push each other's buttons.

Satori look at him,as he's doubting wether he should say it or not. Fidgeting his finger as he sighed softly

Hoshina noticed Satori's hesitation, his curiousity piqued. He set his coffee down, giving Satori his full attention.

"Is there something you want to say?" he asked gently, his tone curious yet patient.

Satori scratched the back of his neck, smiling awkwardly as he said:

"Well... I promise you to repay you with something. After you saved Kanroji's life... I've been meaning to tell you something"

Hoshina got a feeling that this is about him and Ashiro's secret investigation about the MDF unit

The mention of a 'repayment' piqued Hoshina's interest. But it was the mention of the secret investigation that really grabbed his attention. He leaned forward slightly, keeping his expression neutral.
