Who's afraid of little old me? - Taylor Swift
-Suori backstory-
The Mitsuko family, renowned for their legendary status, has a sacred duty passed down through generations: to battle Kaiju. Every child born into the bloodline is expected to possess a natural talent for Kaiju slaying, a supernatural gift that runs in their bloodline.
Talentless individuals, though rare, are often looked down upon, their perceived inadequacy seen as a stain on the family's honor. Despite the challenges, the family remains steadfast in their pursuit of excellence and the protection of humanity against the menacing Kaiju.
Fate dealt a cruel blow to the Mitsuko family when an innocent girl was born into their bloodline, possessing no talent. This was an unprecedented occurrence, as the family had always been blessed with a natural gift for battling Kaiju. The girl's lack of talent brought shame and disappointment to the family, forcing them to come to terms with a reality they had never faced before.
Mitsuko Suori.
Was the unfortunate daughter born into the legendary Mitsuko family, inheriting none of the natural talent required to fight Kaiju. Her lack of ability cast a shadow over her family's legacy and left her constantly overshadowed by the expectations placed upon her.
Despite her lack of talent, Suori faced constant mental and physical abuse from her father, who constantly compared her unfavorably to her older sister, Rei.
Rei was born with a natural gift for battling Kaiju and was the family's favorite, admired for her mastery of Kaiju-slaying techniques.
Feeling overshadowed by her gifted sibling, Suori worked tirelessly to improve, but her efforts went unnoticed, further intensifying her feelings of insecurity and inferiority.
Slap
"Again!"
The slaps stung her face for what seemed like eternity, the endless and harsh training sessions her father forced her into wearing her down. The words that cut through her heart, a constant reminder of her inadequacy in her family's eyes, left her feeling broken.
The exhausting routine left her feeling like nothing more than an innocent child who had the misfortune of being born without the talent required.
-Suori pov-
"Don't give up! Don't let yourself be consumed by exhaustion! Be relentless like your sister!"
The words stung like a thousand tiny knives, cutting into my heart. I was only nine, a vulnerable child in a world that seemed to demand more from me. I stumbled against the rock, pain and tears washing over me. "You're useless! You can't fight with Kaiju if you keep that crybaby behavior forever," my father's voice boomed, each word adding to the weight of my perceived failures.
"I'm tired.." those words accidentally slip out from my throat. Looking at my father, afraid of him.
"F..father.. I didn't mean it!"
Head on the ground. Begging him to not hit me. It hurts.. I don't wanna get hit forever.. Father please.. I'm your daughter too..show me some mercy..
I could feel his hand struck me hard across the face, leaving the bruise and pain, I could taste blood in my mouth.
Holding my face as I look at the ground, didn't dare to meet his eyes.
"Don't you DARE say you're tired! You're supposed to be strong! You're supposed to be a fighter!" father yelled, his face twisted in anger.
