Warning: SA and abuse mentioned ‼️‼️

As they walked side by side, snowflakes pirouetted around them, dancing and twirling in a silent symphony. The gentle whispers of winter mingled with the hush of the day, weaving a soothing soundscape of tranquility that eased the unease of the unspoken.

The atmosphere, once filled with an awkward silence, had now been transformed into a peaceful and contemplative moment, where nature provided the perfect backdrop to their unspoken thoughts and shared company.

"Satori and Kanroji..were still young"

Suori break the silence

As they continued their walk through the snowy landscape, their footsteps accompanied by the soft crunching of snow, Suori suddenly broke the silence.

Hoshina turned to look at her, her mention of Satori and Kanroji, two junior team members, piqued his interest. He waited for her to continue, his expression gentle and attentive.

"they survive a lot of things back then, born into a life that they, themselves would called "hell""

Hoshina listened quietly, his gaze fixed on Suori as she spoke. Her words, tinged with regret and sorrow, painted a picture of hardship and struggle.

He swallowed, his heart clenching a little at the thought of two young people having to endure such a "hellish" existence.

"Satori, who's now a gentleman, smart and friendly, will never know the meaning of his childhood life. Kanroji, who's now a very loyal assistant, smart with technology and bold would never asked God to go back to her childhood life."

"They'll never experienced the childhood life that they were begging to have"

As Suori spoke about Satori and Kanroji, Hoshina could hear the admiration in her voice. Yet, he also sensed the underlying sadness, the unspoken understanding of the challenges they had faced in their past to become the people they were today.

He remained quiet, giving her space to continue her thoughts, silently acknowledging the pain and resilience that had shaped their paths.

"Satori...he was born in an orphanage house. He doesn't know who his mother is,that goes the same with his father. He was.. abused by the orphanage house founder for a long time. Isn't that sad? An innocent kid who just born without knowing anything, have to endure all the pain just for nothing.."

Suori gaze saddened.

Hoshina's heart clenched as Suori shared the painful story of Satori's past. The thought of a child, innocent and clueless, enduring such abuse simply because they had no one to protect them was heart-wrenching.

He clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white with the effort to keep his anger and sadness in check. "It's not just sad," he said quietly, his voice heavy, "It's absolutely cruel and unjust."

"..Kanroji,a girl, very beautiful girl, but she was born in a family where her mother was a scarlet women and her father an alcoholic with an abusive behavior."

"She used to be very aggressive back then, despite having a parents with no responsibility to their children. Her father used her as a money maker. Giving her body to the other men... as they casually.."

Suori didn't dare to let those words out

Hoshina listened in horrified silence as Suori continued to unveil the painful past of Kanroji. The revelation about her former aggression and her father's exploitation of her innocence struck him deeply, sending a wave of anger and revulsion through his being.

He clenched his jaw, his eyes narrowing at the sheer cruelty and injustice of it all. How could any parent, let alone a father, treat his own child in such a monstrous way? It was beyond comprehension.

Hoshina's thoughts were interrupted by this realization. It made sense now. Kanroji's aggressive behavior towards men, her protective demeanor towards Suori. It all made sense now, a tragic consequence of her traumatic past.

He closed his eyes, taking a moment to process this new insight into Kanroji's actions. The more he learned, the more he realized the depth of the scars these young people carried.

Suori sigh softly, letting the emotions go away, smiling to him. "I apologize for making you listened to me for such a long time.."

Hoshina shook his head gently, his eyes soft. "Don't apologize," he said quietly. "I'm glad you felt comfortable enough to share with me. It was heavy..."

He paused, choosing his next words carefully. "But it's important, Suori. Your story, Satori's, Kanroji's, and your feelings, your pain... they all matter. And I'm here, listening."

Suori look at him as she stopped, smiling at him with a soft gaze. "You're..a good person,Hoshina-san"

Hoshina felt a flutter in his chest at Suori's words, the softness of her smile and the gentleness in her eyes. He managed a small smile in return, trying to ignore the slight blush that threatened to color his cheeks.

"Thank you," he said quietly, his voice filled with sincerity. "That means a lot, especially coming from you."

She let out a soft chuckle, "is that so? Then I'll make sure to compliment you even more"

Hoshina's heart jumped at her teasing response, a small grin tugging at the corners of his lips.

"Is that a promise?" he replied lightly, his voice tinged with amused surprise. "I'm not sure my heart can handle a constant barrage of compliments."

Her soft laugh sounds like a music to his ears, her soft and gentle features is breathtaking, especially when the snowflakes falls down on her features

Hoshina found himself transfixed by Suori, her laugh like a gentle melody in the snowfall. The snowflakes that fell on her face only seemed to enhance her beauty, making her smile even more radiant.

He couldn't help but marvel at the sight, feeling a strange mix of admiration and something more. The moment felt almost surreal, a slice of beauty in the midst of the cold winter night.

He shook himself slightly, trying to quell the strange flutter in his chest. He was supposed to be here as a friend, to listen and offer support, not get smitten like a smitten junior officer.

But as he looked at her soft features, her eyes that seemed to hold a thousand unspoken words, his resolve started to waver.

"Hoshina-san" Suori called him

"Soshiro". He said to her, looking at Suori gently.

"You can call me Soshiro".

Suori blinked in surprise, a small smile curving her lips at his words.

"Soshiro," she repeated softly, testing the name on her tongue. "Soshiro..."

She looked at him, her eyes reflecting a touch of warmth and tenderness. Hearing her say his name, no formalities attached, was a strange, yet pleasant feeling. It felt intimate in a way that went beyond mere comradeship.

"if you say so,then I'll call you by that from now on".

She smiles at him

Soshiro felt a flutter in his chest at her words. There was something about the way she said his name, without any titles or honorifics, that made it feel special.

He returned her smile, feeling a strange mix of elation and trepidation. He wasn't sure if she realized what an intimate gesture it was, but deep down, he hoped she did.

"I'd like that," he replied quietly, his voice soft.
