Two years later.
Aurora was 13, Lucas was 2 and their newest edition to the family was five months old.
Their youngest daughter Eleanor. Their son Lucas was a wild child so they were a little scared of having a third but so far Eleanor was great.
They had decided that they would most likely be done having children.
Three seemed like the perfect number. If they became pregnant they would be happy but they most likely wouldn't wouldn't be trying for another.
They were a happy family, everything seemed perfect. They were happily married, and both were one of the best neurosurgeons in the country.
They had moved into a larger house that Derek had built for them. It had five bedrooms.
Aurora had her own room, as did Lucas. Lucas had one of the smaller rooms since he was only two.
His bedroom consisted of his crib, a changing table and his many toys.
Eleanor's nursery was now Lucas' old nursery since it was closest to Meredith and Derek's bedroom.
They had thought having three kids would be harder but it wasn't too difficult.
Aurora was old enough to where she didn't need constant attention. She was never crying or whining to be held like the younger ones.
She also went to gymnastics a couple hours after school so she wasn't home for a good amount of the day.
Lucas was also getting better at behaving but he was still the boy of the family.
Derek was getting into teaching Lucas baseball. He liked playing with his dad and it helped him get his energy out, hitting the ball and running around the large yard.
"What time is it?" Meredith asked as she walked into the living room as she had just woken up.
"It's noon," Derek said as he fed Eleanor while Aurora finished up her homework on the coffee table and Lucas played on the carpet.
"Why would you let me sleep so long?" She asked sitting down next to him.
"You seemed tired last night, you fell asleep on the couch, I figured you needed the sleep," he said.
"I had a long surgery," she sighed as she closed her eyes and laid her head on his shoulder.
"Sixteen hours, you were in surgery all day," he said.
"Yeah, big car accident," she said. "Shouldn't she be in school," she said referring to Aurora.
"It's Saturday," he said.
"Did they eat?" She asked. "They did, they all ate different things, but they ate," he said.
"Good, that's good," she said.
"Are you hungry, do you want me to make you something to eat?" He asked.
"No, I'm not hungry. I just woke up, maybe in a couple of hours," she said.
"Lucas wants to go the park, and Aurora wants to stay home and read," he said.
"You can take him?" She smiled. "I'll watch the girls. Take a ball with you," she said.
"You think he'd want to go alone?" He asked.
"He's got his dad, he won't be alone," she said.
"You don't want to go?" He asked. "No, we have a bunch of laundry to do and the dishes,"
"We really need to start using paper plates," he said.
"Alright, Lucas, let's go to the park," Derek said as he stood up.
He grabbed Lucas' bag and took him to the park around the block.

The End
I know this is a horrible ending and this story probably had more potential but this story is like two years old.
