I really dislike walking with my head covered, the feeling of unknown is overwhelming to me. I already have no control over what was happening to me, but not seeing where I was taken or who was around me brought another level of anxiety.

Hearing was the only sense I could rely on for now and from the opening and closing doors I knew we were nearing "the client". After a certain pair of doors, I heard someone say "Please wait here, Master will arrive shortly." with a very stern voice and soon after that the door closed shut, leaving me and my dad with the twins I think.

"Finally we are getting rid of these things. I can't stand seeing them for another second." Corvinus said hatefully, referring to us obviously.

I knew he was fed up with us, he never once missed a change to remind us how much of a pain we were, how much time he wasted on us, how useless we are and not worth the trouble and all the good stuff. At this point I was glad we were going on our merry ways because, sweet peaches, this guy was the most annoying person in the whole team, city or, dare I say, even realms.

"Stop it, already, this is not the place or time for all this whining." whisper yelled Corvina at him.

"We are professionals and we have a job to do and we're paid accordingly." She added using the same tone. "I didn't hear you complaining when you got that two story mansion as pay for this." She continued and I am pretty sure she has her hands crossed and a brow up in her hairline.

"I, on the other hand" she added "will miss Eric here." She said using a sweet voice.

For once I was thankful I had my head covered and didn't have to see how she was looking at my dad. I maybe a kid, but I could catch her looking for a long time at him with a look I can't understand, but I know it wasn't an innocent one.

"Will you miss me too, daddy?" She whispered and I was certain she was really close to dad and I was close to puking, because I really didn't want to hear that. My dad, like always, never responded to her remarks or looks, he just ignored her completely.

Only a couple of seconds later, the door was opening and I could tell than only one person entered and stopped further away from me.

"Welcome my lord" the twins greeted at the same time.

"Yes, let's get this over with, I have a busy schedule." a male voice said. It sounded like a very cold, serious and determined man.

"I want to see them!" he added, with a stern tone.

"Yes, sir!" The twins replied quickly.

Even if I knew what was going to happen, I was still taken by surprise when Corvina took the cover from my head.

The strong light was too much for my eyes, so  I was trying to avoid it by tilting my head on one side and closing my eyes.

"None of that" the man boomed. "I want to see him" he said with a sneer.

What is his problem, anyway? was my thought.

Corvina wasted no time and grabbed my face and turned it towards the man. "Open your eyes now, if you want to keep them" she whispered and clenched her hand more.

I did what she said and I saw a man around the age of my dad, standing at about 3 m from me, looking with the most hateful look one can have. I could feel his repulsiveness in my bones, he didn't want me here, I am sure of that and the feeling is likewise. By the looks of his clothes and jewelry, I could tell he was very rich and by the posture of his body, he was rather important. A quick glance at him and you could see the great power he has, an aura of dangers all around him. It's obvious he was a supernatural and I saw he has yellow eyes, does that mean he has the power of electricity, I heard royal's eye color swirl all the time and I can't really be certain if his do that, he is not so close and the light color of his eyes make it difficult to see.
