Vlad

I had only noticed a sudden snap and a sharp pain in the back of my head before it all went dark. I wasn't sure what had happened, because my attention had been on Calum's deteriorating form, while struggling to send him my confession of love. Maybe one of the mercenaries had hit me and I had blacked out or Corvina had put an instant sleeping spell on me and that has been it.

But now, contrary to the confusion I had regarding what happened, something was very obvious and that was the fluffy, comfy state I felt myself being in. It was difficult to describe, the way I perceived my body as engulfed in a cloud like environment... so strange, but inviting nonetheless, swaying me to not open my eyes and just relish in the feeling.

However, the background noise peaked my attention and it also smelled of something I absolutely adored, apple pie. Heavy feet were stomping around me, but it was as if the intentions were to be as quiet as a mouse and undetected and I have absolutely no idea why, but it kind of reminded me of my dad.

He was such a big and strong guy and he would make his absolute best in being quiet around me when I was sleeping or taking a nap... but failing. He was just the loudest silent individual I'd ever met. A giggle erupted from my throat and I heard a sudden gasp near me. That made me rather curious and while it felt as if this was taking a lot of time, it all happened in a few seconds.

I was reluctant in leaving these blissful circumstances, but my curiosity needed a scratch so I decided to slowly open my eyes and pray for the best.

And oh my soul... the best was in front of me.

"Hello, little warrior!" the bluest of eyes greeted me, emotion swarming in them, the voice wavering too.

My breath hitched and I felt my stomach drop in my pants, because there was just no way, no way...  that that was my father beaming at me.

I knew I had my jaw slack and I might have been like this for too long, because what seemed as timid and shy happiness on my father's face, it slowly morphed into a concerned one. He wanted to say something, his mouth opening and closing like a fish.

Ok.... So what is happening? Why am I hallucinating seeing my dad? Is this some kind of mind game or trick? Is this a dream or a hallucination? It would definitely not be the first time I would be dreaming weird, scary stuff. But... it felt different... like I never felt before.

I'm looking at him and I try to make sense of what I am seeing, but I just don't get it, I... I am at a loss of words and thoughts. Not to mention, he looked exactly as I remembered, not aging a day.

And as if it wasn't enough, out of nowhere, I heard another set of footsteps, these ones lighter, and I could tell they were approaching quite fast, but I was still zoned in on the face in front of me, the face that accompanied me for more that half my life.

"Honey!" An angelic voice shouted from somewhere not very far... but while this did distract me from my blank mind and the hypnotizing stare I pinned the man standing near me, it brought no understanding of what was happening or what I was seeing.

Only three seconds, at most, transpired and one of the most beautiful woman I have ever seen made an appearance and my gaze swiftly moved to her, my eyes going even wider at the sight.

She had long, curly, brown hair, the biggest red eyes possible. Her eyes were swirling. I didn't know at that time...but it appears that my jaw could actually drop some more. Her skin was white and cheeks rosy, she had quite a small figure, but nicely proportioned... and I felt it, from the deepest, most hidden place of my mind, heart and soul... I knew who she was... so the answer to "Who is she?" just popped in my head instantly.
