I could not believe it. I had a home. I had a home with Calum. We were together in our home.

"Aauu!" I squealed after I pinched myself. I had to make sure I was not dreaming. I wasn't, the proof was in the pain.

Calum just snorted and started laughing at my antics, but I think I had a very reasonable reaction, because let's be real for just one second and analyze the situation: I had in front of me a huge tree with an absolutely adorable little house in its crown, my now home. I had lived a part of my life as a fugitive and the other part as a slave, the words "my home" were not apart from my vocabulary... ever.

"Come!" was what Calum told me while grabbing my hand and nudging me to fallow him. We went to the trunk of the tree and he told me to stay in a specific spot.

"Watch this!" he said, his hand touching the trunk and nothing happened at first, but then stairs started emerging from the trunk. The pride on his face was priceless, the slack in my jaw embarrassing.

  "W-wh... how? " I mumbled, barely.

"This home has been filled with magic. For now, only I can activate the spells, but after we get inside I will give you something that allows you to use it just as easily." he explained.

"Magic..." I whispered bewildered. I only lived around supernatural, or the hybrid slaves, but they were not allowed to use any power they had, so I have never witnessed magic.

"Show me!" I then said, clapping my hands, excitement at full capacity. We hurried on the spiraled stairs and we were up in an instant. The front of the house had a big porch with two chairs and a small table between them. I could already picture Calum and me drinking coffee or tea, having a snack early in the morning or on a lazy afternoon.

Calum pulled my hand and got my attention again and we headed to the front door that... had no handle or knob? "Aaa....Calum..." is all I said, but he was already giggling. "Magic, baby!" he said and just touched the door, that opened by itself. I had a feeling my jaw will be leaving my body if this continues and I needed it, a lot.

"Just how much magic is in this house?" I suddenly asked very curious, while stepping over the threshold. Calum just turned his head at me and with a goofy grin and wiggling eyebrows he answered "A lot!". Once I entered I was left speechless. It was impossible!

"H-how?" I found myself asking, but before Calum got to answer I already knew it. "Magic!" I said breathlessly. I took another step outside, on the porch and took a look at the house, it was little. I enter the house, it's was huge. A very large room divided in multiple areas was inside. Outside a very small house. How did it all fit in this tiny space.... Magic was... magic. Yeah!

At the entry to the right was a small closet with two doors, one with a huge mirror. Right next to it was a rack with foot wear and... were those umbrellas? There's no point in making silly questions, the answer would be same, yes, magic.

The rest of the space was divided in three other big areas. One was the kitchen, a very big one, with lots of cabinets, a sink and stove and a generous island. Another area had a rather big table, for about eight people, with chairs and a large cabinet filled with all kinds of tableware. The last area was like a resting space, near a huge window, with two big armchairs and a table between, just like on the porch, only these ones were a lot cozier, seemed more welcoming, with soft fabrics covering them. Behind one of the armchairs and next to the window was a tall bookcase, packed with books of all shapes and sizes.

There were also a few doors. And I went ahead to discover what was behind door number one, the one in the kitchen area. Calum, like the professional host said "Let me show you the forever pantry" and gestured with opening arms toward the door.
