"...let's have some fun then," he whispered in my ear.

"Please, please, don't do this," I begged him, shaking my head as tears slowly started to stain my face. But then I noticed it—the joy, the glint in his look. This lunatic enjoyed me begging him to stop. A sob escaped me, because I knew this would not only be useless, but he would become more brutal just to squeeze out more pleas and begs from me.

I knew I had no chance of escape, but if your tormentor is entertained by your screaming in pain, it's even worse, because it's like an addiction for them. They want more and more and will do anything to get it, and it will never be enough in the end.

With two swift movements, he unlocked the chain from the wall, put it over his shoulder, and like a sack of potatoes, I was carried on his back.

I can't help but scream in pain—the shoulders were killing me, the position so unnatural, and my body weight was putting a lot of pressure on them as I was hanging by my hands and legs tied behind my back.

Thankfully, the walk was short—only a few steps into another room.

He dropped me on the floor, and I landed on my side, my hip taking the full impact. I thought something broke; I couldn't tell. I was paralyzed by the agonizing feeling. I held my breath to regain my bearings and make it bearable.

"Ow, did my little lamb make a boo-boo?" I heard him say, snickering somewhere around me. I couldn't make sense of anything for now. I heard water running, though, and I then knew he was prepping the scene for our first "fun game."

"It will take only a couple of minutes for the tub to fill, I just have to bring the ice," he told me, and I think he left for a moment. I took advantage of the peace to take deep breaths and open my eyes, making my best effort to ignore my hip pain.

This room is smaller than the hall—or maybe not—but not being empty made it look like it was. It had a big cabinet with doors and drawers. One door was slightly ajar, and I could notice small bottles of liquids and powders, and some utensils I was not familiar with, and I hoped it would remain that way.

In no time, the vampire returned, a huge sack of ice on his shoulder.

Where is that even coming from? I found myself wondering.

He cut the bag and poured its contents into the tub, which was now almost filled.

He returned to me and said, "Your bath is ready," smiling so widely that a shiver ran through my body and I actually jerked.

That phrase was oh so familiar to me, but I had used it in very different circumstances. I always prepared a hot tub for Kayro at night, filled with good-smelling fragrances to help him relax. But now, for me, this was different—he was just messing with me.

He came behind me and untied part of the chains, leaving only my arms tied together. Then he untied them, turned me around, and tied them again in the front.

All this movement made me shriek. The ache in my hip was awful, and my shoulders were screaming in pain alongside me from the sudden change in position.

"Ah, music to my ears," he admitted with a delighted expression. I wanted to spit in his face, but I was far too much of a coward to do that.

Only because I knew he loved it, I made an effort to shut up, but it was really hard. Small yelps still escaped me when he picked me up and threw me into the tub.

It was not my first time doing this, and I knew what to expect. So once the cold water hit my clothes and skin, I was prepared. At first, the shock was strong, but slowly I got used to it, and it actually helped with the pain in my hip and shoulders. Being clothed helped as well, the ice not making direct contact with my skin, so for now it was not that bad.
