Ruka hummed softly to herself as she prepped the café for the day. The morning light streamed through the large windows, casting a warm glow over the tables and chairs. As she set aside an americano and prepared a croissant, she glanced at the clock, a familiar flutter of excitement filling her chest. Any moment now...

Ahyeon walked into the café, her heart skipping a beat as she spotted Ruka behind the counter. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves. She didn't come for the coffee or the pastries-she came for Ruka. Her daily visits were the highlight of her day, a chance to admire her crush from afar.

"Hi, Ruka," Ahyeon greeted shyly as she approached the counter.

"Morning, Ahyeon. Here's your americano and croissant," Ruka said with a warm smile, sliding the order towards her.

Ahyeon blinked in surprise. "You already had it ready?"

Ruka chuckled, a soft blush coloring her cheeks. "I've got your order memorized by now."

Ahyeon's heart swelled with joy as she took her food and found her usual spot by the window. She loved sitting there, where she could quietly admire Ruka while pretending to read or work on her laptop. Every now and then, their eyes would meet, and Ahyeon would quickly look away, her cheeks burning.

Ruka, on the other hand, always anticipated Ahyeon's visits. She looked forward to the moment Ahyeon walked through the door, her presence a bright spot in Ruka's routine. She cherished the stolen glances and the way Ahyeon's face lit up when their eyes met.

Days turned into weeks, and their unspoken connection grew stronger. Both girls cherished these daily encounters, silently wishing for more but too shy to take the first step.

One day, Ahyeon didn't come. Ruka prepared her order as usual, but the door remained closed. As the hours passed, worry gnawed at Ruka. What could have happened to Ahyeon? She found herself glancing at the door repeatedly, hoping to see Ahyeon walk in, but the café felt unusually empty without her.

The next day, Ruka's heart leapt when Ahyeon finally appeared. She looked a bit pale but smiled as she approached the counter.

"Hi, Ruka. I'm sorry I didn't come yesterday. I wasn't feeling well," Ahyeon explained, her voice soft.

Ruka's concern showed in her eyes. "I missed you," she admitted, her voice barely a whisper.

Ahyeon's eyes widened in surprise. "You did?"

"Yeah," Ruka said, a blush creeping up her neck. "Your visits are the highlight of my day."

Ahyeon's cheeks turned pink, and a shy smile spread across her face. "Really? I thought I was the only one who felt that way."

Ruka's eyes softened. "No, Ahyeon. I look forward to seeing you every day."

They stood there, sharing a moment of mutual understanding. Ruka took a deep breath, gathering her courage.

"Ahyeon, would you like to go out with me sometime? Maybe somewhere other than the café?" Ruka asked, her heart pounding.

Ahyeon's face lit up with joy. "I'd love that, Ruka."

Ruka smiled, relief washing over her. "Great. My shift ends at 6. Would you like to wait, or should I meet you somewhere?"

"I'll wait," Ahyeon said, her smile never fading.

The hours seemed to drag on, but finally, 6 o'clock arrived. Ruka quickly changed out of her work clothes and found Ahyeon waiting by the door. They walked out of the café together, the evening sun casting a golden hue over the streets.

"Where should we go?" Ahyeon asked, her excitement barely contained.

"There's a little park nearby. It's quiet and has a nice view of the sunset," Ruka suggested.

They walked side by side, the conversation flowing easily as they made their way to the park. When they arrived, they found a bench with a perfect view of the setting sun. They sat down, the silence between them comfortable and warm.

"Thank you for asking me out, Ruka," Ahyeon said softly, her eyes on the horizon.

"I've wanted to for a while," Ruka admitted. "I'm really glad you said yes."

Ahyeon turned to look at her, a tender smile on her lips. "Me too."

As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky with hues of pink and orange, Ruka and Ahyeon sat close together, their hands brushing against each other. In that moment, surrounded by the beauty of the evening, they knew their mutual admiration had blossomed into something truly special.
