The rain pattered softly against the windows of the dorm, casting a soothing, rhythmic sound throughout the room. It was one of those lazy afternoons where there was no pressure to rehearse, no interviews or schedules, just peace and quiet. The perfect time for Ruka and Ahyeon to relax together.
They were nestled on the couch, wrapped up in a blanket with Ahyeon leaning comfortably against Ruka’s chest. It had been like this for the past hour, neither of them talking much, just enjoying the quiet company of each other. But for Ruka, it wasn’t enough. She wanted more.
She couldn’t stop looking at Ahyeon’s lips, soft and slightly parted, as if they were just waiting for her to close the distance. Ruka could feel the familiar urge building up inside her—the need to kiss her girlfriend, to feel that warm connection she craved more than anything.
“Love, you’re staring again,” Ahyeon mumbled, her voice tinged with amusement as she looked up at Ruka from beneath the blanket. “What’s on your mind?”
Ruka blinked, quickly averting her gaze as her cheeks warmed with embarrassment. “Nothing…” she muttered, but the heat in her cheeks betrayed her. She was never good at hiding her feelings when it came to Ahyeon, especially when all she could think about was how much she wanted to kiss her.
Ahyeon tilted her head, a playful smile tugging at her lips as she studied Ruka’s face. “Are you lying to me, love?” she teased, her voice soft but knowing. “You’re acting weird again.”
Ruka sighed, realizing there was no point in pretending. Ahyeon always saw right through her anyway. “It’s just… I want to kiss you,” she admitted quietly, feeling a little embarrassed by how honest she was being. But she couldn’t help it. Every time Ahyeon was this close, she felt the overwhelming urge to close the gap between them.
Ahyeon giggled softly, clearly enjoying Ruka’s sudden vulnerability. “Is that all?” she teased, shifting so she could sit up properly and face Ruka. “You’re cute when you’re like this.”
Ruka groaned inwardly. Ahyeon always made fun of her whenever she got this way, but it was hard to care when she was this close—when she could see the faint curve of Ahyeon’s lips and feel the warmth radiating off her skin.
Without waiting for another word, Ruka gently cupped Ahyeon’s face in her hands, her thumb brushing lightly over Ahyeon’s cheek as she leaned in. She didn’t need to say anything more. Ahyeon’s eyes fluttered closed just as their lips met in a soft, slow kiss.
For Ruka, kissing Ahyeon was like coming home. It was always sweet and gentle at first, but it never stayed that way for long. She craved the taste of Ahyeon’s lips, the warmth that spread through her chest every time they kissed. And right now, she wanted to get lost in it.
Ahyeon let out a soft sigh against Ruka’s lips, and that sound alone made Ruka’s heart race even faster. Her hands slipped from Ahyeon’s face to wrap around her waist, pulling her closer until there was no space left between them. Ruka kissed her deeper, more urgently, like she needed this just to breathe.
“Ruka…” Ahyeon whispered breathlessly when they finally pulled apart, her voice barely above a whisper. Her cheeks were flushed, her lips slightly swollen from the intensity of the kiss. “You’re… being extra today.”
Ruka chuckled softly, her forehead resting against Ahyeon’s as she caught her breath. “I can’t help it,” she murmured, her lips brushing against Ahyeon’s again. “You’re just too irresistible.”
Ahyeon’s smile widened, her eyes sparkling as she wrapped her arms around Ruka’s neck. “I didn’t know you liked kissing me this much,” she teased, though her voice was laced with affection. “I thought you were the cool and calm one.”
Ruka raised an eyebrow, a mischievous grin tugging at her lips. “Who said I’m not cool?” she teased back, though she knew very well that all of her composure went out the window when it came to Ahyeon. “I’m just… very into my girlfriend.”
Ahyeon giggled, clearly loving this side of Ruka. “Well, I like it when you’re like this,” she admitted, her voice softening as she leaned in to kiss Ruka’s lips again. This time, the kiss was slower, more tender, as if they had all the time in the world to savor each other.
Ruka’s heart swelled at the sensation, her hands instinctively tightening their grip around Ahyeon’s waist. She could never get enough of this feeling—the way Ahyeon’s lips fit so perfectly against hers, the way her body relaxed completely in her arms. It was everything Ruka needed.
“I could kiss you forever,” Ruka whispered against Ahyeon’s lips, her voice barely audible but filled with sincerity. She pressed another kiss to Ahyeon’s lips, and then another, each one softer and sweeter than the last.
Ahyeon let out a soft laugh, her fingers gently threading through Ruka’s hair as she kissed her back. “Forever, huh?” she teased, though there was no denying the affection in her voice. “That’s a long time, Ruka.”
“Not long enough,” Ruka mumbled, her lips trailing from Ahyeon’s lips to her jawline, placing soft kisses along her skin. She loved the way Ahyeon’s breath hitched every time her lips grazed a sensitive spot, loved the way Ahyeon’s fingers clutched at her shirt as if she didn’t want to let go.
Ahyeon’s laugh was softer now, more breathless as Ruka’s kisses moved down to her neck. “Okay, okay,” she giggled, pulling Ruka’s face back up to hers. “You’re getting carried away.”
Ruka grinned, her eyes glinting with mischief. “Can you blame me?” she asked, her hands slipping back up to cradle Ahyeon’s face. “You’re just too kissable.”
Ahyeon’s cheeks flushed, and she rolled her eyes playfully, though her smile never left her face. “You’re impossible, love.”
“I know,” Ruka said softly, leaning in for another kiss. “But you love me anyway.”
Ahyeon’s lips curved into a smile against Ruka’s, her hands resting gently on Ruka’s chest as she kissed her back. “Yeah,” she whispered between kisses, “I do.”
And in that moment, with Ahyeon in her arms and their lips locked in yet another kiss, Ruka knew there was nowhere else she’d rather be.
