Ruka stood in front of the mirror, adjusting her shirt, while Sullyoon's cheerful voice echoed from the living room. Her best friend's presence was familiar, comforting even. Sullyoon had always been touchy, constantly looping her arm through Ruka's or resting her head on her shoulder during movie nights. That was just how they were.

But tonight felt different. Ever since Ruka's confession to Pharita-something Pharita had tried to brush off-a strange tension had lingered between them. Now, with Pharita sitting in the same room, that tension was beginning to build into something unbearable.

When Ruka finally stepped into the living room, Sullyoon was already settled on the couch, her legs tucked beneath her, smiling warmly. Across the room, Niki had his arm around Pharita, pulling her close. Pharita leaned into him, but her eyes kept flicking toward Ruka. It was the first time Pharita had met Sullyoon, and something about the way Sullyoon moved around Ruka made Pharita uneasy.

Sullyoon patted the seat next to her. "Come sit with me," she said brightly, her warmth radiating. Ruka sat down, trying to ignore the knots in her stomach, while Pharita's gaze remained fixed on them. The lightness in the room felt like a mask, covering the swirling emotions beneath.

As the movie started, Sullyoon grew more touchy than usual. She slid closer, her leg brushing against Ruka's, her hand resting comfortably on Ruka's thigh as she whispered jokes into her ear. It was all casual, nothing out of the ordinary for them. But tonight, it felt different. It felt like every move Sullyoon made was magnified under Pharita's watchful eyes.

Pharita tried to focus on the movie, leaning into Niki's chest, but her mind wouldn't settle. Sullyoon's constant touches gnawed at her. The way her hand lingered on Ruka's thigh, how her fingers absentmindedly traced circles on her skin-every movement felt like a stab to Pharita's already unsettled mind.

Niki, unaware of the tension, grinned and teased, "You two are always so close. You should just make it official."

Sullyoon laughed, leaning closer to Ruka and throwing an arm around her shoulders. "Maybe we should," she joked lightly, her voice teasing. Her fingers trailed down Ruka's arm slowly, almost as if daring Pharita to react.

Pharita's chest tightened, her grip on Niki's hand loosening. She told herself it was silly, that Ruka and Sullyoon were just friends. But the sight of them, so close, so comfortable, made her stomach twist. She wasn't sure why, but something about it felt wrong.

Sullyoon shifted even closer, her fingers brushing the nape of Ruka's neck, tracing the edge of her collarbone. "You're so tense tonight," Sullyoon whispered softly, her voice intimate as she glanced up at Ruka. "Relax."

Ruka forced a chuckle, feeling a wave of discomfort. She didn't mind Sullyoon's touches, but with Pharita in the room, it felt wrong. Pharita's eyes hadn't left them once, and the weight of her gaze was becoming too much to bear.

Pharita, meanwhile, was struggling to hold it together. Her eyes burned into the space between Ruka and Sullyoon, watching as Sullyoon's hands moved with too much familiarity. It was driving her crazy, this feeling she couldn't name. It wasn't just jealousy-it was something deeper, something she hadn't realized she felt until now. Until she saw someone else so casually invading Ruka's space.

Niki leaned in, kissing Pharita's temple gently, but she barely noticed. All she could see was Sullyoon's fingers lightly brushing the nape of Ruka's neck, sending sparks of jealousy through her veins.

The room grew quieter as the movie progressed, but the tension only thickened. Sullyoon, sensing something unspoken, turned her head toward Ruka, her eyes glinting with mischief. Without warning, she leaned in and kissed Ruka softly on the cheek, her lips lingering just a bit too long.

Pharita's chest tightened painfully. She clenched her jaw, her heart pounding with a mixture of anger and confusion. Why did this bother her so much? She shouldn't care this much, but the sight of Sullyoon's lips on Ruka felt like something inside her was unraveling.

Ruka, visibly uncomfortable, shifted in her seat. "Sullyoon, what are you doing?" she muttered, half-laughing, trying to brush it off. But her eyes instinctively flicked to Pharita, whose expression had turned stony, unreadable.

The night dragged on painfully, with Sullyoon growing bolder, her touch lingering more intimately, brushing her lips over Ruka's jawline in teasing moments. Ruka felt trapped under Pharita's unwavering gaze, her heart racing every time their eyes met across the room.

Eventually, Ruka couldn't take it anymore. "I need to use the bathroom," she mumbled, standing up abruptly and walking down the hallway. She needed a moment away from everything-from Sullyoon, from Pharita, from the tension suffocating her.

She leaned against the sink, staring at her reflection in the mirror, trying to calm the storm inside her. What was happening? Why was Pharita's gaze affecting her so much? And why did Sullyoon's touch suddenly feel wrong?

The door creaked open, and Ruka's heart dropped as Pharita stepped in, her expression unreadable but her eyes burning with intensity.

"Pharita-" Ruka started, but Pharita didn't let her finish. She crossed the small bathroom in an instant, and before Ruka could react, Pharita grabbed her by the wrist, pulling her close.

And then, Pharita kissed her.

It wasn't soft or hesitant-it was fierce, almost desperate. Ruka's heart pounded as Pharita's lips moved against hers, her body pressing Ruka against the counter. The kiss was filled with everything unspoken between them-all the tension, all the jealousy, all the feelings Pharita had been trying to suppress.

When Pharita finally pulled back, they were both breathless. Ruka stared at her, her mind spinning. "Pharita... what...?"

Pharita's voice trembled as she whispered, "I couldn't take it anymore. I couldn't stand seeing her touch you like that."

Ruka was speechless. Pharita had always been so composed, so controlled. But now, standing here, her chest heaving, her lips still swollen from the kiss, she looked raw, vulnerable.

Ruka swallowed hard, her emotions swirling. This wasn't supposed to happen. Pharita was with Niki-this was wrong. But as she looked into Pharita's eyes, she couldn't deny the pull she felt, the way her heart raced at the thought of what had just happened.
