Asa's mind was still spinning. She could barely wrap her head around what had just happened. One minute, she and her boyfriend had been in his car, talking-or so she thought. Then his words had turned sharp, cold, and in a matter of moments, the conversation had spiraled into a breakup she hadn't seen coming. His tone had been final, as if he'd been waiting for the chance to let her go, and he'd barely looked at her as he told her to get out of the car. She'd begged him to wait, pleaded with him for an explanation, but he'd simply driven off, leaving her stunned on the sidewalk as rain started pouring from the sky.

Now, as she walked along the side of the road, shivering, Asa struggled to hold herself together. She could feel the cold settling into her bones. Her soaked dress clung to her body, offering no warmth, and her feet ached from the long walk, each step more difficult than the last. She hugged herself tightly, feeling small and vulnerable under the heavy weight of the rain.

Meanwhile, Rora was gripping the wheel of her car with frustration as she drove home. She couldn't believe she'd let her best friend, Rami, set her up on another date. As soon as she'd sat down with the girl, she'd known it was a mistake. The woman had spent the entire night talking about herself-her looks, her achievements, her "perfect" life. Rora had barely managed to get a word in, and by the end of the evening, she was desperate to escape.

As she turned down a dimly lit street, something caught her eye. A figure was walking slowly along the road, drenched and hugging themselves tightly against the rain. Rora squinted, wondering why anyone would be out on a night like this, especially dressed in what looked like a formal dress. Curiosity and concern took over, and she slowed down, pulling up beside the girl.

Rolling down her window, Rora called out, "Hey!"

The girl turned, looking startled, and for a moment, Rora could only stare. The girl was beautiful, even with rain streaming down her face, but her expression was one of utter defeat, and her shoulders sagged with exhaustion.

"Do you... need a ride?" Rora asked, her voice softening as she took in the girl's shivering frame.

Asa hesitated, her eyes darting between the car and the road ahead. She didn't know this woman, but she was too cold, too tired, and too heartbroken to care. Finally, she nodded and climbed into the passenger seat, grateful for the warmth of the car as she sank into the seat.

"Thank you," she whispered, her voice barely audible. She kept her gaze down, ashamed of her disheveled state.

Rora reached into the back seat and grabbed a spare jacket, handing it to Asa. "Here, put this on. It'll help warm you up."

Asa took the jacket, wrapping it around her shoulders and feeling a flicker of comfort. She glanced at Rora, noting the woman's calm, steady presence. She felt a pang of relief, though she couldn't quite understand why.

"I'm Rora, by the way," the woman said, breaking the silence. Her tone was warm but not overly familiar, as if she understood that Asa needed space.

"Asa," she replied softly. She hesitated, then added, "Thank you, Rora. I... I don't know what I would've done if you hadn't stopped."

Rora offered her a gentle smile. "It's no problem. I couldn't just leave you out there. Besides, you look like you've had a rough night."

Asa's throat tightened as she remembered the argument, the way her ex had left her standing alone in the rain. "My boyfriend," she said, her voice barely a whisper. "He... he broke up with me. Just now. He didn't even care that it was raining... just left me there."

Rora's hands tightened on the wheel, a flicker of anger crossing her face. "That's... unforgivable. I'm so sorry he did that to you."

Asa let out a shaky breath, trying to keep her composure. "I just... I don't understand. I thought everything was fine. And then he just... left."
