ORIGIN:
Mei used to have a perfect, happy life. She had a loving, gentle father and a strict but caring mother, and most of all she had her baby sister who she absolutely adored. The two of them were very close, Mei always keeping a close eye on her adventurous and sometimes naive little sister.
Shen was the kindest and sweetest person you could have ever met. No matter how mean or rude people are to her, she still showed them kindness. Because of that, Mei felt like she always had to protect Shen so she was not taking advantage of.
Mei basically devoted her life to protecting Shen and being there for her whenever she needed. Mei was close with her mother Sakura but she and Shen sometimes butted heads. Even though Shen was not typically a disobedient child, she can sometimes get herself into some trouble on one of her 'adventures'
Mei understood Shen's reasonings for sneaking out every now and then since her mother was way too overprotective, never really allowing them to venture out into the world on their own.
Chung I was the only one the girls could really rely on. He was their comfort while their mother was their fierce protector. Mei respected her father very much and loved it when the three of them would play games while their mother would prepare supper.
However, after she lost her mother and father, with only her sister left to care for, Mei began to understand why her mother was so overprotective.
Any sense of childhood Mei had, died alongside her parents and she devoted her life to not only protect her sister but to now raise her. She joined the Hamato Clan, hoping that they would help protect them from the Foot but what she did not know, was that her sister would fall in love and wish to stay.
When Shen started going on missions and putting her life at risk, Mei decided that the Hamato Clan was not a good influence and tried to forbid her from hanging around Yoshi and Saki, as well as the others but Shen would not listen.
Then when Nagi showed his face yet again, Mei decided enough was enough and tried to leave but Shen refused, saying that they needed to stay and help. Mei was furious and she said something she should not have said, and after that...Shen left to fight alongside Yoshi and Mei never saw her sister again....
Then...
She heard of the fire.....

Mei is a tall, slender woman, with tan skin, almond shaped pure-brown eyes, almost grayish-blackish hair that she wears in long braided pigtails, and she wears a light blue kimono.

Personality:
Mei used to be such a fun-loving, kind, caring, and helpful person. She was very loving and treated everyone like they were her dear friends but after her parents died, she became cold and distant towards Shen. Shen had tried to help her sister smile again but Mei never would, she was only determined to provide a life for her little sister, determined to protect her and Mei regrets letting her grief and pain have control of her. Because of it, it cost her relationship with her sister and after hearing that Shen had died, Mei swore to only smile from now on.
