ORIGIN:
G'Throkka used to be just a Sergeant for the Salamdrian army but once Y'Gythgba's father who was also G'Throkka's friend, the previous Commander died, G'Throkka became the next Commander in his place but that is not all the responsibility his dear friend left to him.
Turns out that his friend and his wife trusted Y'Gythgba in his care in case they died. G'Throkka never thought that day would come but it did and now he is responsible for a child that was not even his own.
G'Throkka loved Y'Gythgba but he did not know how to be a proper father, so he raised her the only way he knew how, through strict training. Of course, it was not his idea, it was Y'Gythgba. Her parents wanted to wait until she was just a bit older to start training but Y'Gythgba was ready now and it showed in her eyes so how could G'Throkka deny her?
Y'Gythgba was probably G'Throkka's best student. She trained harder than others, working hard every day that is why he was not at all surprised when she became lieutenant at such an early age. G'Throkka was very proud of her but also very worried, knowing she will have her first experience of war sooner rather than later.
As expected, Y'Gythgba almost fell apart from battle, seeing your comrades die and loud noises of explosives in your ears was not an easy thing. Thankfully, it did not break her spirit, if anything it strengthened it and if possible, she grew more determined.
One day, G'Throkka caught himself thinking what years of war was doing to Y'Gythgba. She was still very young, but she had the mind of a grown adult. She was far too serious and sometimes lectures him. Should it not be the other way around?
That is why he was so grateful when Raphael fell into her life. A mutant turtle from a boring planet called Earth. His warrior spirit was truly something to admire, and he could tell that his lieutenant thought the same but as expected, she chose to be difficult and test him.
G'Throkka does not know what Raphael did to earn her trust but he did. They fell in love quickly and their love seemed to grow the more time that went by. When Raphael had to return to his world, G'Throkka was worried that Y'Gythgba would end things and she would go back to her old ways, but she didn't. Though they were miles, miles away from each other and their relationship was only through a communicator, they somehow made it work. Still, though they have proven their love for each other to be strong, G'Throkka knows that it will eventually not be enough.
When Y'Gythgba requested to stay on Earth to 'protect it from alien threats' G'Throkka did not hesitate to allow it. How could he deny the girl who has lost so much, to not gain something? G'Throkka trusted Raphael to look after Y'Gythgba and he did and continues to do so forever.
G'Throkka knows it was the right thing, for Y'Gythgba to leave the Salamadria and to find a life of her own but G'Throkka can not deny the loneliness he felt without her, how much he missed her, for she, as much as he tried to not replace his friend, he could not control that she, is his daughter.

Appearance:
Sal resembles a typical Salamandrian, but with an armored tail, a few prosthetic internal organs exposed, a bionic eye and scars spread through his body, indicating he has suffered numerous injuries from combat, making him a hardened veteran warrior for his race.

Unlike his lieutenant Y'Gythgba, G'Throkka isn't as hostile in his encounters. He respected the Turtles' courage despite their interference in his fight with the Triceratons, and he was more willing to co-operate with them rather than fight and assume they are enemies like Y'Gythgba. Though according to Y'Gythgba his actions may be contradictory to how Salamandrians are supposed to behave. He is concerned about his honor, as he was willing to dig the Turtles out of the ice for an honorable kill. He was grateful for the assistance of the Turtles and is willing to repay them in the future.
