The one-take segment
The Ave Maria segment was filmed in one take.
It was all one long shot with the completed animation and no cuts.
They did this by using a multiplane camera and long line of painted glass.
The painted glass line was hundreds of feet, which was probably needed if they wanted to make a long segment in only one shot.
