Secret reference modeling

The name of the sorcerer in the Sorcerer's Apprentice segment is Yen Sid, which is Disney spelled backwards. 

But that's not the only thing that made him unique.

The animators actually modeled his design after Walt Disney himself. 

His face actually does look a little similar to Walt's.

They even got the raised eyebrow thing from him. 

It was actually regarded as a 'dead giveaway'.

But the thing was, Walt didn't know the animators were using him as a model.

So this live reference was a complete secret. 

It was a sneaky reference!
