STARING OUT THE WINDOW, BENJAMIN BEAST WORE THE LOOK OF FEAR BUT ALSO HOPE. He was gazing at the Isle of the Lost. He had a plan. Was it a good one? Probably not. But they would find out in little time.

He paid no mind to the tailor who fitted him for his coronation outfit. King Adam and Queen Belle made their way into the room, arms linked, "How is it possible that you're gonna be crowned king next month?" King Adam says with a wide grin, "You're just a baby!"

"He's turning sixteen, dear," Queen Belle tells her husband, placing her hand amongst his arm.

    "Hey, Pops." Ben greeted.

"Sixteen?" Adam says, peeling his glasses off his face as his mother pulled away from him to look at the fabric the tailor had picked out for her sons outfit, "That's far too young to be crowned king. I didn't make a good decision until I was at least forty-two."

Belle scoffs and looks up at her husband, "Uh. You decided to marry me at twenty-eight."

"It was either you or a teapot," Adam joked as he shoved his glasses into a pocket on the inside of his blazer. Ben chuckled and Belle rolled her eyes. "Mom, dad . . ." Ben trails off and goes to step off the platform he stood upon the tailor stopped him, waving his finger in the air, "I've chosen my first official proclamation," he continued, "I've decided to that the children on the Isle of the Lost be given a chance to live here in Auradon."

Belle and Adam froze in their place. "Everytime I look out to the island, I feel like they've been abandoned," Ben explains, stepping off the platform and toward his parents.

"The children of our sworn enemies? Living among us?" Adam asks his son in disbelief, pointing toward the window that had the Isle of the Lost in view from a distance. "We start out with a few at first, only ones who need our help the most," says Ben, "I've already chosen them."

    "Have you?"

Belle looks over at Adam, "I gave you a second chance," she says and then looks back at Ben, "Who are their parents?"

"Cruella de Vil, Jafaar, Evil Queen, Mother Gothel, and . . . Maleficent."

At the last name, Adam and Belle gasped while the tailor let out a small scream. "Maleficent! She is the worst villain in the land!" Adam raises his voice.

"Dad, just hear me out here . . ." says Ben.

"I won't hear of it," the king holds his hand up, shaking his head, "They are guilty of unspeakable crimes. Mother Gothel stole a baby for crying out loud!"

"Dad, their children are innocent!" Ben argued, "Don't you think they deserve a shot at a normal life? Dad?" Ben stared up at his father with pleading eyes. Adam looked over at Belle who tilted her head at her husband and he nodded, "I suppose the children are innocent," he agreed more calmly, and then turned, walking away from his son.
