AT THE BIRTHDAY BASH, JANE WAS DOWN BY THE ENCHANTED LAKE AT THE SAME BROKE DOWN GAZEBO, BEN HAD TAKEN WILLOW ON THEIR FIRST DATE. Rey and Chad accompanied her. Jane stared up toward the trees, anxiously waiting for her boyfriends arrival.
"Looks like Carlos forgot about your birthday, huh?" Chad asks Jane, a laugh escaping his lips right after. Rey punched him in the shoulder and he yelled out, placing his hand over the spot, groaning in pain. "Dude, shut up," he hissed and looked back at Jane, his face softening, "I'm sure Carlos and the rest of them will be here any minute."
"You're right," says Jane with a nod as she tried to persuade herself more than the other two, "Maybe they just took the wrong turn. Or! They probably don't celebrate birthdays on the Isle, maybe it's like a cultural thing."
"Oh, yeah," Chad nodded, dropping his hand from his aching shoulder, "Or maybe he just forgot. You never know." he chuckled and stepped away before Rey could punch him again. Rey looked around and spotted a few teenagers taking pictures and so he pointed, "Hey, Chad, look! There's people taking selfies."
"Selfies, guys! Wait, wait, wait for me!" Chad shouted as he desperately climbed up the rocks. Jane giggled as she watched him struggle.
Audrey arrived shortly after. Everyone questioned her arrival, not noticing her new appearance, "Did anyone save me some guacamole? No? Well, don't be expecting Willow, she's . . ." she paused, taking a cupcake away from one of the teenagers before throwing it over her shoulder, " . . . not feeling herself."
She walks over to someone else, "Does that make you sad?" she pouted, "Does it just ruin everything? Mindless little drones! How could forget what she did to us?" she questions, looking at them, "How could you forget that I was supposed to be your queen?"
Suddenly, Chad ran up. "Time out, okay, okay. Time out," he stopped in front of Audrey, "First off, great new look. I absolutely love feathers. But hey, before you do whatever you're gonna do, I was wondering if maybe you wanted a . . . loyal boyfriend by your side? Partner in crime? Sidekick?" Chad grins, idiotically.
Audrey thought for a moment as he continued to talk, "Or maybe just a lackey to do your bidding, uhm, change tires. Or smoothie runs?" he suggested. He then crossed his fingers, "Please."
"You can be useful," Audrey nodded and Chad's face lit up, "Stand behind me," Chad did immediately as told, "Auradon likes to forget so much. They'll love this."
She then begins to sing, "Happy birthday to you," the orb on the scepter glowed, then she hit it off the ground and pink smoke appeared, "Happy birthday to you," it immediately knocked everyone into a sleep, much like the curse Maleficent put on the kingdom all those years ago, "Happy Birthday to you. Happy birthday to Jane," she continued to sing as she made her way over to the ledge. Peering down, that's when she spotted Jane and Rey, who looked scared and confused.
