THEY HAD MADE IT OVER TO THE ISLE OF THE LOST. Packing all the kids in with whatever they had decided to bring with them, they waved goodbye to the rest of the VK's. Driving through the Isle, Willow stared out the back glass, thinking about her mother. She felt a tug on her hand and turned to see Ben, holding it gently in his grasp. She rested her head on his shoulder as he rubbed soothing circles on her hand.
Hannah sat next to Willow and Ben; Dizzy sat with Evie; Celia sat with Mal; and the twins sat with Jay and Carlos. Jay was driving with one arm while the other arm was being gripped tightly by a very scared twin. "Great grip," he commented, "You play sports?"
Carlos gave his twin a reece cup who only took one bite and was obsessed. Celia faced Ben and held up a hand of tarot cards. He picked one and handed it back to her. She placed her hand over the card without looking at it and says, "You're going to be a wise and brave King."
"He already is," Willow tells Celia. Ben takes his card back and looks at the sketched drawing of the King. He didn't notice Celia's hand out until she cleared her throat. Willow and Mal both chuckled as he dug for money. The brunette looked over at Hannah who stared at Ben, "Yo, Red," she says. Hannah looks at her, "You can't be coming over here to steal him from me and take over the kingdom. You ain't your daddy."
She was only half kidding.
Hannah faked a laugh and rolled her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest, staring out the window. Willow smirked and leaned back into Ben as they grew closer to the bridge. The barrier opened for them and just as it was about to close . . . Hades stuck his hand through. "It's Hades!" Evie says, pointing a finger toward the black glass.
Everyone turned in their seats to see. "Stop the car. He's trying to escape!" Evie exclaims and Jay slams on the breaks. Everyone except the younger VK's got out of the car, watching Hades struggle to keep open the barrier. "I am a God!" he shouted and his blue hair lit up in flames, "I don't belong here." Ben pushes Willow behind him as he, Jay and Carlos share a look and run forward but Hades was able to use his magic ember to zap a blue string of energy at them, knocking them down to the ground.
Mal shared a look with Willow who nodded. A purple smoke engulfed Mal as she slowly turned into her dragon form. Willow tilted her head down as she mouthed some words and her eyes glow their vibrant yellow. A yellow smoke engulfed her as she turned into her phoenix. Out of all the animals she could be, she chose to the phoenix. A phoenix was the symbol of starting over.
Over in Auradon, everyone watched in fear. Rey stared at the large screen that was presented in front of them so they could watch the originals bring in the new VK's. "Come on, Mal," he whispered.
Both her and Mal hovered in the air, close to each other. Hades stared at them in amazement. He then zapped Mal with the blue energy he used on the boys. Willow called out and headed straight for Hades but was, too, zapped by the blue energy. It immediately caused her to transform back and fall to the ground, hitting the bridge with a thud. "Willow!" Ben shouted. Willow wasn't done yet. Raising her hand, yellow energy flew out, meeting his blue. She took his focus off of Mal for the time being, giving Mal enough time to blow a gust of air, pushing Hades back into the barrier.
