BEN'S CORONATION DAY HAD FINALLY ARRIVED. As always, Willow was in Mal and Evie's dorm room, preparing for the day. They had decided to straighten her hair since it was something they were never able to do on the Isle and they had never seen Willow's hair straightened, only curly.
She stared at herself in the mirror and in the mirror, she only saw a villain. Mal and Evie re entered after leaving the room so she could put her dress on. She wore a black gown that once again had translucent sleeves (she had a thing for sleeves) and the whole bottom of her dress was also translucent with black roses. Evie truly outdid herself on this one.
A single tear fell from her eye. Evie and Mal gasped at the sight of Willow and how stunning she looked. She turns to look at them, not realizing they had entered. She quickly swiped away the tear and put on a fake smile, holding her arms out. Evie clapped and jumped up and down. "Evie, you truly out did yourself," Mal tells her.
Mal wore a light purple gown whereas Evie wore her signature blue. "Oh, Willow! You look beautiful," Evie says, walking forward and taking her by the hands. Willow only replied with a soft and thankful smile. "I think someone else would think so as well," she stepped out of her view and there was Ben, standing in the doorway just behind Mal who too stepped out of the way.
Ben's mouth visibly dropped and Mal and Evie both shared a look. "Willow . . ." he trailed off, looking her up and down. A small smile formed on her lips and a blush crept onto her cheeks, "You are beautiful." he says. She walked over to him taking her hand into his, "You don't look too bad yourself," she replied and he smiled.
"Are you ready?" Ben asks her. Willow looked back at her friends and nodded, "As ready as I'll ever be," she said and looked back to him.
He led her to the carriage and for majority of the ride, it was silent. The entire ride, all they could think about was each other and the night before. As they got closer to the castle, people surrounded them on the streets and the press also made their appearance, taking pictures of every movement they made. Willow raised her hand, smiling and waving.
"I meant every word I said last night, Willow," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. She turned to look at him and he took ahold of her hand and raised it up to his lips and placed a soft kiss against it, he then looks at her and just as he opens his mouth to continue, the carriage came to a stop and his side opened. One of the guards helped him out. Before it was her turn, Willow looked around and then sucked in a deep breath.
Ben stood there, waiting for her and holding out his hand. She took it into his and she allowed him to walk her up the stairs to Queen Belle and King Adam who stood at the very top, awaiting their arrival. Letting go of each others hands, this allowed Willow to bow down before Belle and she turned toward Adam, "About the other day, I just . . ."
"I told Ben this wasn't going to be easy," Adam tells her.
"You also taught me that a king has to believe in himself. Even if it isn't easy." Ben says.
