(SOPHIES POV): "No!" I yelled. "Sophie, Elwin won't hurt you, c'mon!" Fitz yelled back, pulling me to the office. I shook my hand out of his grasp. Fitz sighed and looked over to me. "I'll make a deal, if you hate it, you can punch me in the gut." My eyes widened. "Deal." I replied. Fitz smiled, "Thank goodness! I was running out of energy!" He knocked on the large doors in front of us. A man with brown curly hair and big glasses opened the door. "Welcome, come in!" He said, pushing us through the door. I sat on the chair in the center as Fitz leaned on a wall. The man kneeled down to me and picked up my arm. "Oh my.." he said. I flinched. "Is everything alright?" I asked. "Just your poor cells!" He replied. "You can see my cells!" I shouted. The man looked up to me. "You don't think I wear these glasses because they make me look dashing, do you?" He smirked. "Oh, and call me Elwin." He said, standing up. I smiled, his attitude reminded a lot of Keefe's. Elwin handed me a vial. "Drink it up." He insisted. I closed my eyes, and drank the liquid. It had a warm soothing taste and I attempted to drink more. Elwin took the bottle from my hand and my face twisted in protest. "That's enough for now." He stated. "I'm done?" I asked, my attention diverting away. "Yup!" I smiled and stood up. "Thank you." I said, gratefully. Elwin smiled as Fitz led me out of the room. "Do you need to punch me?" Fitz asked. I elbowed him. "I'm fine." I said, annoyed. Fitz laughed.

Alden was in the main room, with Della helping pack my stuff. They were helping me to get ready to move in with my new guardians. Edaline and Grady, I think. This whole situation felt weird. Della ran over to hug me as I walked in. "I got you some new clothes! Went a little overboard though.." She said looking around. I nodded, the whole room was covered in clothes, I could barely see the floor. Alden walked over to me. "We're going to go to Edaline and Grady now and Della will drop this off later." He said. "Ok." I replied. I waved bye to Fitz as Alden and me leaped away.

The first thing I heard was a loud roar. "What was that!!" I shouted over the noise. "Probably feeding time!!" Alden shouted back. Feeding time? I didn't have time to question it as Alden led me away to a giant pasture. A man was wrestling a dinosaur!? "C'mon, just take one bite!" He yelled. The dinosaur attempted to throw him off. Was my new guardian going to become dinosaur food!? The dinosaur looked me in the eyes, and I was caught off guard as a message flew through my head. "I think its hurt!" I shouted over the noise. The man looked down to me, then back to the dinosaur. "I think you might be right!" He shouted back. The man leaped off the dinosaur to greet me. "I'm Grady, and I guess your Sophie?" He asked. I nodded. Suddenly some green people came scurrying past us. I shrieked. Alden laughed. "They're just gnomes, Sophie." He said. Those were not gnomes, but I decided against arguing. Grady motioned us inside the giant house next to the pasture. A lady, who I assumed was Edaline was cooking something in the kitchen. She turned around when she heard us. Her eyes had large bags, like my human mom when she was stressed. I decided not to mention it. She looked over to Grady. "I told you to look nice." She said, an annoyed tone in her voice. Grady winked. "I'll be right back." He whispered. I watched him leave, as the atmosphere tensed. I tugged my hands awkwardly. "I made some mallowmelt, if you'd like some too Alden." She stated. Alden's eyes lit up. "Maybe just one slice."

Mallowmelt was a delicious cake that tasted like chocolate cookies dipped in ice cream and covered in frosting and butterscotch. Delicious! I helped myself to 3 slices and once Grady came down, he got himself four. I laughed. I wished this moment never ended. Sadly, all moments eventually do. Alden stood up from the table. "Sophie, your Foxfire schedule has come in, you will have special telepathy sessions with a mentor called Tiegan. The council has also asked, for you to not talk about your "abilities." "Why?" I asked. "They fear the others might be a little nervous from your upbringing and the abilities might add onto this." Alden said. I sighed and looked down. "Don't worry, it's not forever." Alden whispered. I nodded. Alden waved goodbye and left. Grady clapped his hands. "Let me show you your room!"

"This is all mine!" I asked. Grady smiled as Edaline leaned on his shoulder. "All yours." He said, once again. The room took up the entire third floor. There was a giant bed and a beautiful petal carpet. The windows showed the entire outside in its perfect view. I turned back around to Grady and Edaline. "Thank you!" I shouted. Edaline suddenly looked somber and turned away. "Of course." Grady said quietly. Once they left the room I jumped up onto the bed, spreading my arms out. I took a deep breath, letting my new room, flood my senses. A new life, I thought. I smiled in the darkness.
