The door to their dorm room clicked shut, the echoes of the night's revelry slowly fading into the quiet embrace of the early morning. Jasprit Bumrah rolled over, his eyes still heavy with sleep, and playfully poked at the warm lump beside him. "Hey, Bhuvi," he murmured, his voice thick with the sweetness of the night's intimacy.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar groaned, his eyes fluttering open to reveal the soft glow of the dawn. "What's up, Jas?" he mumbled, his voice gravelly and tired.
"Look what you did to me," Jasprit giggled, pointing to the small, dark mark on his neck. It was a battle scar from their passionate encounter, a silent declaration of their love that neither had intended to make so public.
Bhuvi propped himself up on his elbow, his gaze drifting to the offending spot. "Oops," he said, a sheepish smile playing on his lips. "It's just a hickey, Jas. It'll go away in a couple of days."
Jasprit sat up, running his fingers through his disheveled hair. "But we have class in an hour!" he exclaimed, a hint of panic seeping into his voice. "What am I going to do?"
Bhuvi leaned in and kissed the mark gently. "Let it be our little secret," he whispered, his breath warm against Jasprit's skin. "Besides, it's not like anyone will know it's from me."
Jasprit rolled his eyes but couldn't help the smile that tugged at his lips. Two years into their relationship, and Bhuvi still had a knack for making him feel like the only person in the world that mattered. He leaned into the kiss, letting the worries of the day melt away.
But as they broke apart, the reality of the situation dawned on Jasprit. He had to face the college campus with a neon sign of their love on his neck. He sighed dramatically. "You're not helping," he said, but the smile remained.
Bhuvi chuckled, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Well, if you're going to be a walking billboard for our love, you might as well rock it," he teased, pulling Jasprit back into a warm embrace.
The smell of coffee wafted into the room from the hallway, signaling the start of another day at the university. Jasprit sighed again, this time more out of contentment than apprehension. He knew he couldn't hide it forever, but for now, he was just happy to be wrapped in Bhuvi's arms, their love a secret shared between them.
They lingered for a few more moments, the warmth of their bodies entwined, before Jasprit finally pulled away. "Come on," he said, nudging Bhuvi gently. "We've got to get ready."
Bhuvi groaned but complied, sliding out of bed with the grace of a man who had spent countless nights doing so. The room was a mess of discarded clothes and textbooks, a testament to their carefree college life.
They began to get dressed, the conversation shifting to their plans for the day. Jasprit felt a twinge of nervousness about the hickey, but Bhuvi's casual attitude was infectious. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad after all.

As they stepped out into the corridor, Jasprit couldn't help but feel a bit self-conscious. He tugged at the collar of his shirt, hoping it would hide the evidence of their love. Bhuvi, on the other hand, walked with his usual confidence, as if the world was just another pitch for him to conquer.
Their friends, Hardik and Virat, were already up, their doors ajar as they prepared for the day. Jasprit felt his heart race as they approached. Would they notice? Would they say anything?
But as they greeted their friends with sleepy hellos, the only thing that seemed to be on their minds was the upcoming exam. Jasprit let out a sigh of relief, the tension in his body dissipating like early morning fog. Maybe today wouldn't be so bad after all.
