"Shami, I'm bored," Siraj's voice sang through the phone line, a hint of mischief in his tone.

"Can't you entertain yourself?" Shami replied, his eyes never leaving the spreadsheet on his desk. The numbers danced before him, a silent ballet of dollar signs and percentages that meant millions to the company.

"But it's no fun without you," Siraj pouted, his cute voice a stark contrast to the seriousness of the conference room.

"I'm in the middle of an important meeting, Siraj. Can't you see?" Shami's tone was firm but not unkind. He knew Siraj was just looking for a little attention.

Shami sighed, the tension in his shoulders releasing slightly. He glanced at the clock on the wall, noting the time with a flicker of annoyance. The meeting had been dragging on for hours. The air in the room was thick with the scent of stale coffee and the murmur of his colleagues' voices.

"I'll be home soon, I promise," he said, trying to keep his voice light.

"But what if I need you now?" Siraj's voice took on a whine that was both endearing and frustrating.

Shami resisted the urge to roll his eyes. "You're a big boy, you can handle it," he said, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips despite his growing irritation.

"But I don't want to be alone," Siraj said, his voice small and vulnerable.

Shami felt a pang of guilt. "You won't be. I'll be home as soon as this is over."

"But what if it takes forever?"

"It won't," Shami assured him, his voice gentle. "Just keep yourself busy."

With a final, "I love you," Siraj hung up. Shami stared at his phone for a moment before sliding it back into his pocket and returning his full attention to the meeting. The conversation had been a welcome distraction, but now it was time to focus.

As the meeting droned on, Shami couldn't help but think about Siraj's lonely voice. He knew he needed to work hard to provide for them, but sometimes it felt like he was missing out on the simple moments that truly mattered. He made a mental note to make it up to him tonight. Maybe dinner out, or a movie? Something to show Siraj that he was important, even if he couldn't always be there.

The meeting concluded with a round of firm handshakes and promises to review the contracts. Shami's mind was already racing ahead to the evening's plans. He grabbed his briefcase and phone, slipping out of the room before anyone could rope him into another conversation. As he stepped into the elevator, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of excitement at the thought of seeing Siraj's face light up when he walked through the door.

Shami's heart skipped a beat when he walked into the apartment to find Siraj sprawled out on the couch, his hand buried in his pants. The sight of his lover's flushed cheeks and erratic breathing was like a sucker punch to the gut. He felt a rush of arousal and annoyance all at once. He knew he'd told Siraj to keep himself busy, but this was hardly what he'd had in mind.

"Siraj," he began, his voice stern. "What are you doing?"

Siraj looked up, his eyes wide with a mix of fear and excitement. "Daddy, I was just..."
