Outer Banks, Cameron's house
July 14th, 2020
4:28amOnce I was finally done with all of my tasks, I sighed in relief and made my way upstairs where my clothes had been waiting for me all night long. I pushed the door open and closed it behind me before taking the dress Sarah had given me off and getting back dressed with my Pogue clothes. I took the very uncomfortable heels Sarah had given me off too and smiled as my feet found their way inside my shoes, way more comfortable.
Then, I made my way out of the room, my footsteps echoing as I paced along the hallway, looking at how fancy and beautiful this house actually looked. I was sure they didn't even realize how lucky they were to come back to this and not some tiny dirty cabin. I was about to walk down the stairs when Ward Cameron rushed towards me, his phone against his ear.
"Margot, I'm really sorry, can you search for Rose and tell her to meet me downstairs?" he asked with a concerned tone, which made the request sound very important.
I nodded. "Yeah sure"
I walked along the corridor and started opening doors which almost always led me to empty bedrooms, making me wonder how could a single house have so many bedrooms. After a few minutes, I knocked at a door and opened it gently, before stepping inside. "Ms Cameron?" I voiced.
To these words, Rose didn't show up but instead, I caught a glimpse of Rafe trying so hard to hide the cocaine he had been snorting alone in his room. "Shit," he mumbled.
"Rafe-" I gasped.
He got up and walked to me so fast that I didn't even have time to move, I just watched him as he closed the door behind me and pushed me against it. "What the hell are you doing here?" he asked me.
"Your dad told me to look for Rose," I stated.
"Oh, in my room? I doubt so," he scoffed.
"How was I supposed to know this is your room? You could have told me not to get in when I knocked!" I argued.
I tried to walk away but his hands on my shoulders kept me against the closed door and I realized maybe he was too high to handle a conversation. "Say one word about this to anyone and I'll find you and your little friends alright?" he threatened.
"I won't say anything," I told him. "I promise"
"How can I make sure you won't?" he asked.
I rolled eyes. "I'm not a snitch, Rafe. And this is no secret anyways, everyone knows," I admitted.
"What do you mean everyone knows?" he asked, looking down at me as if I had just said something unbelievable.
"Everyone knows you do drugs Rafe. You're always hanging out with your dealer," I told him, which he couldn't deny. "Unless he's not your dealer and you're friend with a Pogue"
