Hey!
There's one more chapter to go. Gosh, I can't believe there have been 100 chapters and over a year's worth of writing.
Let us get back to it.

Farsight landed gracefully on the ground and looked up at the Valkyrie as it vanished into the dark sky. With smoke coming off its wing but no longer on fire, Farsight breathed a sigh of relief.
Texas and the others are safe for now.
He looked at his surroundings only when he knew the Valkyrie was gone. Farsight felt a wave of guilt wash over him as he looked at the bodies of countless people, soldiers and refugees alike.
Kneeling to the nearest body of a soldier, he rolled him onto his back to verify his cause of death and was caught by surprise.
"No refugee or rebel could have done this," Farsight asked himself.
The Sankta soldier in question had a gaping hole in his chest. His mostly missing ribcage was blown out from within like a small explosive was placed inside.
It's almost like he was hit directly by a bolter round...
Captain Patriot?
Some time ago, all contact with Patriot was lost, but High Haven knew he was in contact with the Battle Sisters.
He looked around the ruined area and at the bodies: explosive injuries, charred corpses and body parts ripped apart by chainsaws. The conclusion was clear: Captain Patriot and the Battle-sisters stormed through here not long ago.
Were they trying to avoid the horde of Refugees?
If they were, they failed.
More non-combatants are lying on the ground than Sankta defenders.
*Boom*
Standing swiftly from the faint explosion but large enough to shake the ground beneath him, he looked into the distance, where a bright flash of light came from.
The centre of the city.
The same direction Patriot and the Battle-sisters ran off to.
The same way he's going.
"Well... I guess I'm going to see the pope," Farsight groaned quietly. Spreading his wings, he took to the sky, heading towards further chaos.

Absolute chaos!
Captain Patriot pulled his fist out of a man's stomach and tossed him away, utterly unaffected by the Gun-knights focusing on him as their bullets bounced off his power armour.
"AAHH!"
Turning to the scream, a Battle-sister with a flamer was torching some poor bastard as he thrashed and withered on the floor in agony.
"Die with dignity!" Patriot shouted over the screams.
The Battlesister, with her face visor up, looked at him and gave him a thumbs up, uncaring about the flailing man she was burning alive.
Hearing another commotion to his left, he saw a bulky Gun-Knight look at him. What Patriot found intriguing was the Gun-Knight carried no gun but a giant power claw.
The Gun-Knight stared him down and flexed his power claw as it sparked with power.
"Come then, Sankta! Show me what passes for fury amongst your misbegotten kind!"
