Chapter 4

 We all walked out of the office building to go to lunch. I went to get into my care when I heard Jay say "why don't you ride with us." I nodded and followed them to their car. I got into the back seat with Billy and Jay. Zak was driving. It was a little uncomfortable being in the car with them but I guess I would have to get use to it when we all travel together. Zak asked "Amy what made you move to Vegas?" I said "I wanted a change in the scenery I guess. I am not sure why I moved here to be quite honest." Aaron said "it was fate that brought you to us." I said "you could say that." We stopped at a diner for lunch. We all got out of the car. We walked into the dinner and sat at a table. I sat in between Billy and Arron while Zak sat across from me and next to Jay who was seated next to Arron. Someone came around and took our drink orders and then we sat there looking at the menu. Aaron was goofing off with the guy and I found myself laughing along with everyone. When our drinks came we all ordered food. I ordered a burger and fries. Jay asked "Amy do you know anything about the technology that we use in our investigations?" I said "Not really I never recorded anything that I would experience in the highlands." Billy asked "what have you experienced?" I shook my head remembering the time I was at an abandoned castle. I said "I went to an old castle that had been abandoned with a bunch of friends. During that i was touched and I connected with a child spirit who had died in an accident by the nearby river." Zak looked at me in shock. I said "it was nothing negative but i was interested in the history of the castle." I was cautious about what I told them without giving away my gift. Zak said "since this will be your first lockdown this weekend you will either be with either myself or Arron. If you are not with us then you will be at nerve with Jay. I nodded hoping that they would not discover my gift but I also had a feeling that they would find out eventually. After eating lunch we all went back to the office. Once back at my desk I started going through other case files and organizing them by state. By the end of the day they guys and I exchanged phone numbers so they could get a hold of me. I also gave them my home address for when they pick me up to head to the lockdowns. That night when I got home I knew this was the right choice even though I was starting to have feelings for one of the guys but I would have to be careful. By the time it was time to go home I was just packing up for the night when Jay came into Zak's office with a young lady with black hair. Jay said "Amy this is my wife Ashley she takes still shots for the team." I said "it's a pleasure to meet you." Ashley said "Finally another girl on the team we are going to be best friends." I said "looking forward to it but if you excuse me I have to get home. Jay can give you my number. Have a good evening" I grabbed my bag and walked out of the office. I drove home. Once I get home I light some sage and smudge myself from any negativity that might have developed during the day. I made some dinner and went to bed. I just have nightmares and the anxiety attacks stay away for at least one night.
