Chapter 9

Zak's P.O.V.

I was going over the file for the next lockdown location. I noticed that Amy's dog got up into her lap and she started petting her. I got up from the desk and walked over to her. Sage's ears perked up when she saw me. I asked "Amy are you ok?" She looked up from the computer and said "just a little anxiety hit me all of a sudden. But I am ok." I said "alright i get the anxiety too sometimes it happens at the lockdowns and sometime after the lockdowns." she nodded. I sat back down and continued to do editing for the show. I want to know what is going on with Amy. I know it's not just what she has told me. She does cleansing on a regular basis and then she got sick while on her first lockdown. I knew she was special from the moment that I laid my eyes on her at the shop. She has done a wonderful job with being part of the team. I looked at the file she laid on my desk. It was the Island of the dolls. I could tell that she had done extensive research on the place and it looked like she had set up all the interviews for us. It was getting late. I noticed her putting away the paperwork and packing up her stuff that she brought for sage. Amy got up and said "I am heading home for the night let me know when we leave for mexico that way I can get someone to watch sage" I said "have a good night and I will let you know." Sage ran over to me for a pet then they both walked out of the office. Once she was out of the office I called the guys into the office. I said "what is going on with her I know it can't all be anxiety and panic attacks." Aaron and Jay looked at each other. Jay said "you have to talk to her about it we won't betray her trust." Aaron nodded. I said "alright I will talk to her after we get back from the next lockdown we are going to head to mexico. I will make all of the arrangement and Let her know when we leave so she has someone to watch sage." Aaron said "sage seems to help her I saw a difference in her and she has only had her one night." I nodded. It was nice to see her a little more at ease around us. I soon left the office to head home to Gacie. My mom watches her while I am out of town on lockdowns. When I got home I took Gracie out and made all the arrangements for the lock down. I sent a text to Amy letting her know that we are leaving in a week to mexico. I made dinner and went to bed. I was starting to have feeling for Amy I just wasn't sure if she felt the same

Amy's P.O.V.

When I got home I let sage off the leash and took her out to the garden. I went into the kitchen and made dinner. Sage came into the house i shut the door to keep the cool air from the escaping. As I sat on the couch my phone went off. I had a message from Zak saying that we leave for mexico in a week. This was going to be a hell of an investigation. I had a bad feeling on what lived on that Island. That is the investigation i will want to be in nerve. I went to bed that night feeling uneasy.

The week went by and it seemed that sage was a blessing when it came to helping me sleep. I was now packing a bag for sage because she was staying with Ash. she was going to pick her up in an hour. My anxiety has been the worse this week. Sage was by me all night and it helped but my nightmares were bad. Something did not want me to head to this island. After packing a bag for sage I packed my bags to go to this lockdown hopefully I will have room to myself so that i will be able to do the meditation and the cleansing i will need. There was a knock on the door. I yelled come in im upstairs. I heard the door open and I heard someone talking to Sage. I brought our bags down and saw ash and Aaron in the living room. Sage was sitting with Aaron I set my bag by the door and went to get some dog food for ash to take with her. Ashley came in to the kitchen and asked "are you going to be ok without her for a few days." I said "it's going to be intense and i can already tell that what is on the the island is going to be dangerous. And I wish I could take her with us to help but I know it is for the best that she stays with you. My anxiety has been bad and the nightmares are the worse." Ash said "it will be ok Jay said you can stay at nerve if you need to." I nodded and bagged the food to hand. I handed the bag to her. I grabbed the sage and lavender bundles that I will need. I walked back to the living room with Aaron and sage. Sage came up to me and i picked her up. I nuzzled her face and said "you be good for aunty ashley and I will be back." Sage licked my face and i handed her to ashley. Aaron said "she will be fine we have a flight to catch with the rest of the crew." He grabbed my bag and took it out the car that had billy and zak in it. I got into the back of car next to billy. After everything was loaded. We took off toward the airport. Once we were at the airport and checked in. We were waiting for our flight to be called when I noticed that Zak started to have an anxiety attack. I walked up to him and said "just breath Zak it will be fine. I know that you don't like to fly. It will be ok." Zak said "how do you know?" I said, "I have flown before. How do you think I got to vegas. I have anxiety attacks all the time." our flight was called and I grabbed my carry on bag. We boarded our flight and I was seated next to Zak. The plane took off and Zak grip tightened on the arm rest. I placed my hand over his and held it. When the plan was finally up in the air I let go of his hands and dug through my bag for my headphones along with my phone. I placed my headphones in and leaned back for the rest of the ride. When the plane landed I grabbed my bag and we got off the plane. While waiting for our bags Zak came up to me and said "thank you for earlier." I nodded and grabbed my bag and a bag of equipment. Jay came around with the car. We loaded the rental van and got in to head out to our hotel.
