^yunho^
the first week of mingi being back was fairly peaceful. the two talked as usual when they weren't busy, or at least yunho tried.
san was good help when it came to getting yunho to engage with mingi sometimes, but everything was going fine.
yunho sat on a park bench staring at the ducks that waddled around, his focus set in the inner turmoils of his mind.
he and mingi finally had gotten to sit down and just talk about everything.
why wasn't mingi mad at him? yunho literally chose some girl over his best friend then dropped him, and somehow mingi forgave him after everything?
seriously, that guy had to be an angel sent down from heaven or something.
yunho raised the straw to his lips and sipped his coffee.
"yunho-ah?"
yunho glanced over and choked on his drink.
"woah- are you okay?" she rushed over and patted yunhos back.
"i'm fine.." yunho croaked out after coughing a bit.
she nodded and sat down.
yunho stayed staring at the birds in front of him.
"can you not even look at me?"
reluctantly, yunho looked over at her.
seriously, yunho hadn't expected to see giselle here of all places. inconveniently, they attended the same uni.
she looked a bit different, her hair was longer, jet black, and cascaded down her shoulders, her bangs were grown out as well.
"look, i'm sorry about back then." she sighed.
"i'm not the one you should be apologizing to." yunho muttered.
"well i'm sure mingi doesn't want to see me now anyways, so just convey the message for me." she huffed out.
yunho pulled his phone out and turned on a video.
giselle looked at the camera, then yunho and sighed.
"listen, mingi, i'm sorry. i was a bitch in high school, i never saw you for you and i always doubted everything you did. i was honestly trying to get yunho away from you at all costs, but now, seeing how much he cares for you, i think that was stupid. to be honest i knew the end of me and yunhos relationship was approaching, it was either i'd end it or he would. i was naive and thought that maybe if you went away, we'd last longer. which was stupid" she paused, then continued.
"now that i've actually gotten out and experienced things i've had the time to think about how wrong it was for me to try and separate you two. so, i'm very sorry mingi. i'm not asking you to forgive me, but i needed to apologize." giselle hung her dead down.
yunho ended the video and put his phone back in his pocket, then faced forward.
"you know what the crazy thing is?" giselle said after a moment.
"i knew that you'd never love me the way you loved mingi. i mean— you talked about him all the time and i'm not sure if you realized it but your eyes would give it all away. i knew you could never look at me the way you looked at mingi." giselle choked on a laugh.
"giselle i'm sorry, about everything." yunho said.
"there's no need to be sorry yunho, i also did some fucked up things to you including trying to force sex on you when you weren't ready. that was wrong of me. let's just move forward from now. i'm moving overseas to do an exchange program so we won't have to see each other."
"when?" yunho asked.
"in an hour. before i left i just wanted to apologize." she stood.
yunho did as well.
"good luck." he said
"you too." giselle sighed before walking off.

after work, yunho decided to pickup donuts. there was a cute little stand sitting in front of a grocery store, a few teenage girls were promoting their baking business and yunho being the sap he was, bought a dozen with all their popular and specialty flavors.
he walked up the stairs and juggled the box of delicious smelling donuts in one hand while trying to fish out the key in the back pocket of his jeans. the wafting smell of the sweet treats practically made him drool as he finally got the damned keys and shoved it into the lock.
upon walking inside, san stood in the living room in front of the unnecessarily large mirror buttoning up a white dress shirt.
"plans?" yunho toed off his shoes.
"yeah, i'm taking wooyoung out on a date. we haven't really gotten to spend time together because of his chef things." san hummed.
"that's nice, where are you taking him?" yunho put the box of donuts down on the table.
"halazia, that new place about twenty minutes away. he's practically been fangirling about the place ever since it opened." san replied.
"damn, isn't that shit expensive?" yunho grabbed a mug, then filled it with milk.
"sans rich so it doesn't matter."
yunho glanced over as he sipped the milk and almost choked when he saw mingi walk over in a black tank top and sweatpants. how could he look so hot in something so minimal? yunho was such a simp.
"want to see what i got him?" san asked excitedly.
"sure" yunho hummed, walking back over to the table where mingi stood.
"donuts?" mingi examined the box.
"yeah, i don't know any of the flavors though." yunho opened the box.
there seemed to be glazed, some kind of sugar coated one, and other unique looking flavors.
san came back out with a small, black gift bag. he pulled out a box and inside was a pandora bracelet with three charms. then, in the other small box was a whole damn blue sapphire necklace in the shape of a heart.
after san left, mingi sighed and grabbed the strawberry frosted donut and took a bite, then held it out to yunho.
he leaned forward and bit it, the warm, fluffy dough mixed with the strawberry frosting and chunks of vanilla cookies was amazing.
"that's so good." yunho hummed, looking over at mingi who had a look that made yunhos knees go weak.
"yeah?" mingi asked, his thumb wiped the corner of yunho lip and made the latter swallow hardly.
"yeah" yunho said a little too breathlessly.
they stood there for who knows how long just taking each other in, yunhos heart was practically beating out of his chest at this point.
"yunho-ah"
"yeah?"
"let's fuck."
