MINGI
"yunho-ah... i know i said i trust you but... why are we in the middle of nowhere??"
it had been about two hours of driving and mingi couldn't even think of where they could possibly be going.
"it'll be worth it." yunho hummed.
mingi squinted his eyes and slowly turned to look out the window with a small sigh. "if you're gonna kill me ill do it first," he muttered, to which yunho responded with a snort.
"but seriously...where are we going?" mingi asked curiously.
"a spot for stargazing, since you're so nosey." yunho said.
mingis eyes widened, "really? wait—actually?"
"yup, i came out here once i started uni, i told myself that id take you here." yunho said.
mingi hummed and nodded.
it was weird that yunho still somehow held out hope that mingi would come back, after two whole years at that.
mingi honestly thought that yunho would forget all about him and go on about his life, but yunho along with their friends had made it very abundantly clear that it'd never happen.
the boy was grateful to have such a loving friend group. mingi felt like he could honestly die happy now, if it was his time at least. (which he hoped it wasn't)
mingi looked over at yunho, who tapped the steering wheel and hummed along to the frank ocean playing.
his black turtle neck fit snuggly around him, and his hair looked soft. along with the glasses that sat perched on his nose, he looked absolutely divine, and mingi wasn't even exaggerating.
it was crazy that after all these years his feelings for yunho had never dissipated in the slightest bit. the boy always would hold a special place in his heart.
mingi loved yunho, that much was undeniable, but when the older spontaneously said it to mingi the other night it sent his mind into a flurry.
yes he did want yunho, and yes he so desperately wanted to say those words back, but he wanted them to actually mean something—not just yunho saying it to say it.
mingi looked over at yunho, who was now mindlessly rambling about some game he had started playing.
even just looking at him made mingis heart beat uncontrollably. how could someone make him feel this way?
the feeling was so...so overwhelming.
mingi quickly pulled his hood over his head and pulled the drawstrings, he seriously needed to calm down.
"mingi-ya? what's wrong?" yunho asked, voice laced with concern.
"nothing.. just be quiet." mingi said, trying to control the shake in his voice.
yunho frowned before humming and turning up the music.
YUNHO.
they had finally arrived to the small parking lot that led to where yunhos final destination awaited.
mingi insisted on getting some food and fresh air so it took a bit longer than expected but naturally they had arrived.
yunho grabbed the small bag from the trunk as mingi looked through his phone, probably messaging wooyoung.
"alright, phone in the car." yunho said, dropping his own onto the front seat after shutting the trunk.
